Since 3 day i farming in the Junkwatt Depot for the spare part in this way you can farm the recipe to craft the recycling box ( quest in the Junkwatt Depot ) and sell then.So i you want to farm some spare part you can go too in the Junkwatt Depot
I have never thought of making gold with Spare Parts actually, good that I have quite a lot of them. Too bad I'm not playing on a low population realm and won't get that much out of it.
Killing rares on mechagon for pets is better gold, spare parts are just side income. Its rly hard to sell feasts and the crit food is very cheap on my realm (150g +- / stack)
Having an AH mount changes everything. Playing on main and checking on AH time to time when I cross a village with mailbox is the easiest thing to do. No log out log in time, no "where is this and that". Actually I use 4 different toons and all have different profession and only sells what they able to craft. So to recreate the sold items there is just a little down time.
I've been messing a bit on low pop servers in recent months and from my experiences, it's still viable. Things sell but slow, unless you find some niche market that is blooming on that exact server (for whatever reason). My tactic is to get gold and snipe some pets that are worth a lot more on high pop servers and then move them.Patience is the key.
AH alts are pretty much mandatory, especially with the inflation of stuff dropping in 8.2. On a character played through Nazjatar and Mechagon 4*32 bags are simply not enough. Someone mentioned allied races for those, I think is a very good idea.
I do play on a pretty good populated realm, after a 6 month break I found that all my auction house items where, well - gone with 30 day Mail-Limit, so i have to start all over again, though with a pretty good base. Love you addons and I can only say: yes it's is important to have an alt-ah-toon. Or moneymaker if you will. Haven't gotten far on mechagon yet, but I will :)
I've recently been thinking about jumping into the waters of gold making but there's just SO much involved. Not in a bad way, just in a, "what do I want to start/try first?" I'm hoping that I'm successful in some way, but if I'm not at least I gave it a try.I do have a lot of spare parts, so maybe it's time to try and use those in some way.
I have three guild banks available for storage. One is owned by my lvl120(main) toon. Used to store items for all my other toons crafting profs as well as 2 tabs used for auction house storage. The second is on the sister realm to my main realm. Its owned by a 5th lvl toon and used to sell and store xmog items. Last is on my main realm, owned by a lower lvl, and used primarily to store and sell battle pets and crafted items. I basically have two toons dedicated to making gold, the rest play the game and feed items to be sold to the two gold makers.
Hm.. I used most of my Spare Parts for Keys until recently when I finally hit Exalted with Rustbolt. Now I'm saving them for when I need more War Resources since, at Exalted, you get a Recipe that trades 1 Spare Parts Crate for 100 War Resources.
having separate activities with alts is good but it takes some time to get used to i spend the first 30 minutes reposting of ah on Ah alt then go and check some in main or go Farm mats with another one, its still time consuming but ist easier the acces to the ah. which is the one i do most and try to have best control the time i spend there.
I had assumed Auction Houses were tied toA server group, and not single server. Is that not the case?
I used to play on a low pop server and remember people would put old common mats for obnoxious prices, think low pop servers are best suited for farmers. Also got tons of spare parts so ill definitely use this to make extra cash
The video on how to convert spare parts into gold was super helpful! Thank you guys for posting that.
I feel it’s harder to make gold as more players are becoming aware of how to make gold. But I am still making gold just not at the same rate. I have 3 ah mules each with their own populated guild banks. It’s just easier when you have the bag space. I don’t often buy from ah but when I do I never buy from a toon that has the word bank in there name. As for the fishing. I didn’t realise you could get the buff next time. I’ve been dropping the quest and reaccepting to make a stock pile. Great discussion on low population realm. I’m cautious to start crafting.
Playing on a low pop server - takes a lot of getting used too; but for me thats half the sport. The dynamics can be more forgiving, though what might work for one will not work for another. Find a niche etc. As for bank alts, aside from the clear need for massive bags and a guild chest - there is something about having that perfect transmog for always shuffling your wares.
Finally, a way to get rid of excess Spare Parts and help pay the bills. Sad that i didn't think of that myseld sooner and make abit more gold. :)
I play on a low pop server, and I've given up on trying to sell transmog and pets since there's not an audience for them. The only way to make money on the AH seems to be from selling herbs, food, flasks and enchants, since there's always someone who will have need of them.
Yes, I have a separate character for auctions.I had them parked in Booty Bay for a while (and just took the 20 second extra loggout time) because the auction house, mailbox, bank, and guild bank, are all in one place.I have a couple guild banks going (I’m a bit of a pack rat). One is for my battle pet bank alt (who I occasionally send to the auction house) with my excess battle pets.
