i cant play as often as i can, so for me optimizing the time i play is an efort, so considering using spare parts for the essences ... and negleting gold making is allways a dilema.... in the end, the sub has to be payd :(
I personally have a ton of max level characters, I farm and play the ah on many of them so I usually have a ton of inventory space being used. I try to split up my auctions on each character based on the professions they have. My warrior is primarily a blacksmith so all ore and blacksmith related crafts and materials are stored on this character. I do this for each character, one for transmog, leather/lw, herbs/alchemy, etc. This keeps my auctions per toon down to a manageable number, instead of something crazy like 6,000 auctions which would take forever to cancel and repost on one toon. I like the new store mount so hopefully my post is enough to get me entered into the drawing.
I've always had auction alts because I can just fill up their banks and a guildbank with mats and crafted items ready to go. I also like to get my second account going during new expansions/ big patches to run my sniper.I used to run on a medium pop server and while the gold came pretty easy it wasn't as fun as on my on a high mythic guild population realm. Tuesday/Wednesdays when you open up that fat mail box after a solid few hours of cancelling/reposting.
I play on a low pop server, and I've given up on trying to sell transmog and pets since there's not an audience for them. The only way to make money on the AH seems to be from selling herbs, food, flasks and enchants, since there's always someone who will have need of them.
I've split my characters up into a few sections:My main character that has crafting professions, and almost all recipies for those professions. My farm characters which have double farming professions. My bank characters, that all have 30 slot bags and full bankslots.Whatever I farm/craft/find - and want to sell, gets sent to bankchars to manage bagspace most efficiently for my main chars.
