why are people acting like this kills m+ looting? did everyone forget that high m+ players will be able to have up to 5 mythic raid ilvl pieces crafted, at most your total ilvl will be 3-4 lvls behind a fully decked out mythic raider.
CE raiders reign supreme no matter how hard the m+ level that you push like usual. The best in slot trinkets and weapons aren't enough, they also need just a flat ilvl advantage over everyone else, this time from 4 bosses, so probably 8-10 slots that can be higher than vault gear. Also, vault loot isn't a proper comparison as we only get 1 item per week not filling out quickly like CE raiders do and us m+ players are also timegated by valor cap in a usual season. It's just disheartening as someone who loves m+ and wants to push high keys without giving up multiple nights a week (2 min but more likely 3) for a good enough guild just to gear up to min-max the content i ACTUALLY like and want to engage in.
GG blizzard *!@# show again xD
And with this you have doomed yet another xpac by pandering to raidloggersGoodbye WoW, you got 3 bad xpacs in a row now and you ain’t coming back
Personally I hate this in the current game where the final 2 bosses have higher level loot than the rest, because there has been times where my weapons, major armor slots, and/or trinkets for certain classes/specs have dropped from the lower bosses meanwhile the final bosses drop trivial items for them. Meanwhile others in the raid, lucky their bis weapons, armor, and/or trinkets drop from these bosses, thus they get higher item level for these slots.Personally i'd like to see it go back to where item level is the same for the entire difficulty from the first boss to the final boss, however only difference is that unique, better, or highly desirable items (i.e. weapons and trinkets) should just drop from the final bosses to motivate people to push to downing the final bosses, not item level increases otherwise it screws over those whose major items dropped from lower bosses.
If this gets live, a lot more people will quit...
Not a good idea with so low drop rate.
My biggest concern is how they plan to do the loot table, mostly in regards to weapons. The power gain from even 4 ilvls is usually pretty high and this could cause a pretty stark difference in power. I would just want to understand how to plan to address it.
Ah yes, just what we need, more ivl bloat and more raid or die design. They are quadrupling down on "raid or die" this expac. They literally don't care if the entire ship sinks as long as they can force every single player into raiding.Spoiler: Raiding is an archaic end game that has always been niche content, It's time to move the game into a modern era and embrace the fact that more people are doing m+ than raids, instead of constantly trying to force people into raids.Expect M+ gear nerfs soon.
wow what a terrible idea, unless normal starts dropping mythic level ilvl M+ will always be significantly easier and more efficient way to gear. at this point they should just turn LFR and Mythic into non-loot giving difficulties and just be there for story and challenge, cause so long as +15s give out mythic level gear there is literally no beating it, normal and heroic raids shouldn't even exist aside from the occasional trinket.
Don't understand the complains here, it is exactly the same like what Great Vault weekly gear ilvl is in SL.Mostly casual players complain because they cannot get the best ever gears from running couple of +15s which is the easiest form of PvE right now. You're kidding yourself if you think +15 is hard. 8 x +15s is extremely easy to do even if it is on the first week of a season/mythic raid release. Heck, I have seen my guildies time a few +20s on the first week. I would not say the same that M5-8 bosses are that easy in Week 1 unless you are playing in RWF guilds. Take an example in S3 Sepulcher raid, Halondrus & Anduin pre-nerfed definitely deserve to drop higher 285 ilvl gears (on-par with Rygelon & Jailer gears).Further in the week when raid bosses get nerfed, some casual CE raiding guilds will even still find it's difficult to re-clear M5-8 bosses. With that being said, I do think Blizzard should add more rewards/ilvl to M+ players who do higher keys (+25 & above) in the great vault later in the season.
So this is what 10 steps back in raid loot looks like.
o look more iLvL inflation, that's totally what we needed... And now with additional weird issues due to stuff like BiS trinkets dropping from the "wrong" boss. Resulting in say agility based classes randomly becoming FoTM because their trinket drops from the last boss while the casters are stuck with a trinket from the first boss or some such nonsense. Also why are we continuing with putting the "real" reward from M+ in the weekly chest and not at the end of the actuall dungeon? It is incredibly demotivating to have to wait 7 days after finishing the actual dungeon before getting to see your "real" reward. And with end of dungeon gear being capped at the first heroic boss it isn't exactly difficult to get to a stage where end of dungeon gear simply isn't relevant....And reintroducing group loot is just dumb. Just keep personal loot but remove the stupid trade restrictions. This way the organized high end players can have their loot-councils to optimize the loot distribution while the rest of us don't have to deal with any of the toxic nonsense loot-councils potentially bring...Seriously, who thought any of this was a good idea and why?
