" At the end of the Collector's Edition novella, all the Horde, save for Saurfang, fired at the tree and didn't verbally question Sylvanas' orders. Zappy boi may be endearing, but was he one of the ones rushing to burn the tree?" Most people in an army aren't exactly filled in on the full strategy or reasons behind actions. Saurfang was part of the strategy meeting, knew Sylvanas' reason for trying to take the tree. Zappy boi and every other random Horde member don't have much of a choice but to trust that their leader knows what she's doing.Think of it like this: You're in the army and your commander orders you to carpet bomb a location. That's all you know. You don't know if it's only occupied with innocent civilians, you don't know if it's hiding tons of armaments, all you can do is trust in your commander's decision.A big reason there was such a large opposing force to Garrosh wasn't because he was creating war, but because he was also being a racist &*!@#$% to everyone but the orcs and tauren. He thought of the Forsaken as abominations better off dying (again), and trolls as weak, and only tolerated goblins because of their inventions. He didn't really comment much on Pandaren outside of "make yourself useful" when they join up, but clearly wasn't a fan of them on their actual continent. Sylvanas isn't doing that though, even if she isn't a big fan of the living races (as shown in her thoughts in Before the Storm), she does find them useful and does at least try to keep them pleased by doing things like participating in a parade of all things. Prior to the burning, she's gained trust from all of the Horde, unlike Garrosh who steadily lost it. What reason would they have to question her order?Well, a very renowned old soldier going AWOL might be a start...
It is good to see one orc second thinking his atrocities, just a little too late. A conscience is great, but if you don't let it stop you, then what good i it?
"Disturbingly, none of the other Horde members express guilt or seem struck by his words."I'm dumbfounded. How are Baine and Lor'themar or even Thalyssra OK with any of this? I'm going to guess they're just going to ignore whatever they would feel because that would be inconvenient to the story.
A great cinematic, shame its built on a bad storyline and its mainly used to give an excuse so they can keep Saurfang loyal (for now) this doesn't change the fact how bad the story is.
i hope he comes back with thrall.
dat troll is soo hot. Daaaaamn Zappy Boi <3 I luv ya :D
Yes :D that would be amazing. Bring the Honor back too the Horde!
Great addition to the story. Saurfang is an interesting character and as an Alliance player his arc has been an interesting one to follow. At first I was disappointed in blizzard for being predictable with the story but as more and more comes out this is starting to rank as one of my favorite bits since the wrathgate. Saurfang needed more story and the Night Elves needed to be interesting again. Only irritating thing, and it's minor, why does everyone keep misspelling the word boy?
Please go join the alliance and stop crying like a baby so sick of these bandwagon comments wish we could just kill all the gnomes already
Man, the Sylvanas Warbringer was bad enough but seeing those dying night elves reach for the burning World Tree and hearing their screaming was a real gut punch.
But doesn't he just give in, in the end? Right back to it?Or did I mis-interpret the ending?
It´s just a matter of time, we all know that the true Warchief will be Durak, Thrall's son.Sorry for my bad english.
It was a great video, loved it......however, anyone who played beta knows where Saurfang ends up, so this video is basically meaningless.
