A timer...and so its ruined.Would haven been to good to be true.So again a stupid timerun.Could have been a good feature.Further restrictions like keys will then kill it completely.
I hate this change. What happened to exploring and no timers?
Level of competence: "We can't think of anything else than timers"
Why... just why? If somebody wants to waste their time and wait 10min before every pull then let them! It's their own time... Absolutely stupid, makes me dread the whole thing...
yeah, no
Maybe they can make this an optional feature that gives a higher reward like the masks in the horrific visions? Though I don't know what the rewards would be... maybe a higher rate of anima power drops? Maybe legendary crafting materials? Special gear? It may not be the ultimate solution, but it might put a bandaid on the people who think Torghast is too easy and the people who don't want to be rushed.
and you made it poop thanks blizz
On paper this is a good decision. There should be some kind of wall for way too overpowered people, otherwise there will be no challenge. So far we know there will be 2 towers (eventually) one which requires a key for the legendary components (which should all be get before lvl10 so I see no problem here) and one for cosmetics which is free and you can do whatever you want in there. But there needs to be some kind of challange if you becom OP monster they need externel sources of mechanics to try to stop you. Yes these debuffs needs a lot of testing and tuning. I think there should be more safe zones on a floor and while in these zones your cd's do not recover and you don't get staks of debuffs, but you are save and can plan your next move. I think that the debuff should cap at some point (for example floors 10-20 5 stacks 20-30 10 stacks etc.). All in all am good with this, it's sounds right and will put a lil extra challange.
We already have timers in M+. Keep Torghast timer free!
Yep. Torghast is ruined, aborted before it even had a chance.
I don't see a way how this could "kill" Torghast, these debuffs are really weak compared to amounts of anima power you will get by reaching higher floors. They will only ruin your run, if you just sit 3-4 minutes after every combat, which is what it's designed for. People are exaggerating and jumping to conclusions, as usual. On the other hand, I think that maybe Blizzard could give an opportunity to wait for cooldowns for those who want it, because at some point they will still be overrun by scaling mobs even with active Metamorphosis and other stuff. Maybe if they are going for dividing Torghast into standart and unlimited regimes, they could leave the torment only for standart one (where you get the rewards), but let people do whatever they want in the unlimited, where waiting for cooldowns won't result in rewards increase.
This for me is bad news. Was looking forward to being able to enjoy it, not be rushed and feel pressured. Really hope they change their mind on this one.
Right, that's what kills it. I don't enjoy time pressure, and they promised it wouldn't be timed.
Yes, I'm having a conversation with other posters. That is how a discussion works. One person says something, you respond to it.
I don't want it. Stop putting timers in your game Blizzard.I just want to do things on our own pace, not having some clock hanging over us.

so what if people wanna wait for CDs... LET THEM PLAY THE GAME HOW THEY WANT! Adding time/speed implications to everything doesn't mean good gameplay...What would be better imo is if you see people just hanging out not engaging send a pack of mobs at them to keep them in combat or something. Something like what L4D does with it's zombie hordes if you stay in one spot too long.
The article is a bit inconsistent, with the title talking about timers, the first few lines make it seem as if the longer you take on a floor, the harder your entire run will be. And THEN at the bottom of the article they mention that debuffs reset each floor. Like, cmon =(.From my testing this is true for all the debuffs with the exception of the fire and add spawns, which just deals damage and doesn't work the same way as the other debuffs.Instead, what these debuffs do is encourage clearing *the floor* quickly enough, so that way you can go back and explore areas, take on elites that were a bit too difficult to take on before, etc. When you climb to the next floor the debuff is cleared BUT the debuff on the following floors will stack faster. Also at the moment, the debuff types change every 6 floors, so at worst these rate these debuffs stack max at a factor of 5. Twisted halls maxes at 18 floors (12 actual floors, 3 "broker floors" and 3 boss floors). I saw evidence that you could climb higher but can't say for sure. Anyway, IMO this curbs all but the most extreme behavior. But hey, go ahead and be angry =).
