I can understand them not wanting to totally re-balance anima drops because they tied so much cosmetic costs to them. To ease alts + catchup rather than increase anima drops, they could give some big nerfs to covenant upgrade costs and that would probably go a long way to easing concerns about anima; though I imagine it might not be an option until after fully unlocking the upgrades is possible under the current system .

Which if you take a look at a calendar will see that it qualifies as this month.
It's some kind of a joke.. takes 5 weeks to get to 100 souls and then only 500 anima? Wow!
So something I am wondering is that 500 anima for every 5 souls? Or is it 500 for every 20? What is the exchange rate here? The other question is will overcapping cause a conversion when the patch drops or will the over cap just stay until you spend souls.I have a feeling I know the answer but more clarification from Blizzard would be appreciated. (My guess is that your overcap will stay and it is 500 for 20 souls which is still kind of low considering how much sanctum upgrades and cosmetics are costing)
This is a welcome change since Blizzard did such a terrible job of balancing anima costs/rewards that at this point I'm going to be capped on souls for the rest of the expansion. The cost of upgrading your covenant hall just isn't worthwhile, certainly not for alts, so I guess this is an extra 500 anima forever. *Shrug*
Hm... did they forgot to add a 0?
How typical for blizzard throwing extra breadcrumbs once people start jumping off the ship.
I think 500 Anima for A SINGLE QUEST is a pretty nice thing.Just dont do it, if you think its not worth your 10-15 minutes of clicking on souls.
I'm really surprised at people saying their souls are capped due to Anima costs, when I make over 1k Anima a day just from the Anima Conductor, Chests(the ones that pop with the defend the realm callings), & World Quests... If your Covenants were completely upgraded, then I'd understand, but really?Edit: and Might I mention I do this on 4 different characters daily without using Flight Paths (outside of the free enter the realm ones), sure for others who actually have a life this might seem nuts, but for them I'm Assuming they just have 1 character they're working on...
500 a week? How generous. I'm thinking hard how to spend it.
They need to fix Calling rewards imo. Emissaries gave Gold/Items/AP. Callings give Gold, conduits up to the worldquest ilvl cap (and once you have them all that's gone) and once in a blue moon may drop an item. Items should be much more common and when you don't get an item you should get anima instead.
Today i reach lvl 4 queen's conservatory (all other upgrades at lvl 3), have capped anima 5 times (right before leveling queen conservatory to lvl 4 i'm capped at anima and already have 5k anima in the bags), i also have the champions of the table at lvl 50 and i do around 10 missions/day. I dont like cosmetics so i dont know what to do with so much anima. In resume there is too much anima to farm: we need less sources, no more.
"One of the core elements of the expansion's story is that there is currently an Anima drought, and that one of our tasks, as members of a Covenant, is to source and deploy Anima. It stands to reason, therefore, that Covenants gifting Anima doesn't really make sense."absolutely right. thing is then, low Anima cost. how you will expend 10k anima upgrading a table who heals faster your team?, if there's an Anima drought, how its needed 750 plus extra mats to create a battle pet who has nothing special?, and Ill try to avoid speak about transmogs and mounts which are basically recolors some of them for 1 entire month of Anima farming, seriously?keep the anima rate but low the cost. I mean, if there is a drought.....
