The funniest epic drop I ever had was getting clothie boots from Shattered Halls. When the boots dropped from Warbringer O'mrogg, two priests in my group rolled need on it. Since I was too into the fight, I accidently clicked need as well. When the rolls came out, all three of us rolled 100. The funny thing is, since I was the mail-wearing shammie, the loot system gave me the boots instead of the clothies. =] Boy, it was funny to me since both of them left the group thinking that I ninja'ed a pair of blue boots! :O
Most epic drop ever probably my hippogryph hatchling... he's so awesome XD
Back in vanilla WoW, I was specced 30/21 feral/resto (druid). Of course I usually got to heal in raids. But once on Ragnaros, all our warriors tanks went down with him somewhere around 5%. I was the closest druid to him, so I went bear and tanked him to zero and lived through it. I don't even remember what dropped...I don't think I got anything, but I was so excited to actually get to tank him, even if it was just for 5%. I still have the screenie of me sitting in bear in front of his corpse.
The best epic battle ive ever seen was the battle against the world boss lethon it was such a great battle My friend and i gathered up about 5 or 6 raid groups of nothing but lvl 70s and 60s we had it all planed out so that if we didnt win we could atleast get him below half health.......The Paladins would run in first and tank while the hunters would send in there pets and range lethon then the healers would be spread out by each group to heal anybody that needed it then the warlock would do the same as the hunters except they would send in there minions of course lol the warriors would do the same as the Paladins while the Mages would just do nothin but spellcasting All of us met up at the entrance to the twilight grove we waited for about 10 mins to let anybody who didnt arrive yet would get there at the stroke of 8 we the paladins and warriors with pets and minions at there sides me and the rest of the hunters ranged Lethon while the mages did nothin but casting around him while the healers were jumpin around healing and resurecting people things were going great until Lethon took down most of our healers all hope was lost until out of nowhere in come running in like 20 healers with a group behind them it was such a sight all you could see was lots of people attacking a huge dragon i wish i would of recorded that after about what felt like and hour Lethon had been down to below half health we were cheering already as we were cheering we didnt notice that almost 2 groups of people had left This time we didnt give up we kept on atacking him finaly he was down to less then a quarter of health we were so happy then Boom literaly 3 groups went down everybody kept on yelling COME ON KILL HIM! GIVE IT ALL YOUV GOT!then Boom another 2 groups went down Lethon had only bits of health left we knew we were dead but in come runin in 1 group of paladins finaly Lethon goes DOWNall of us were so happy we were cheerin and most of the people were dancing idk who got the loot and i dont care just being there was a magnificint loot for me and even though i dont have tape evidence ill always remember that magnificant battle everytime i visit the twilight grove
Finally getting 2 peices of t4 so i can feel like a real kitty druid...who never gets to go kitty...yay me...I tank with my face!
My most epic loot was the Raven Lord, everyone was doubting it would drop and when it did, everyone had the funniest look on their face "DUDE, ARE YOU GONNA ROLL ON THAT?", rolled and got a 100.
Getting the felheart shoulders a few weaks after MC was released.
I think getting my Argent Champion so far is the most epic thing I've had. Loot comes and goes, but this title really means a lot for me.
My shiny legendary offhand.Sniff, sniff, RIP warglaive. RIP.
I once soloed baron and got his sword... I have grind-ed since the first sword well over 1500 documented run that my own guild members can attest for.... I always smiled at Baron's Sword thinking.. why not a mount.. why not a Baron's mount... It was always epic to get the sword, but truthfully.. It was never the mount... So I kept a sword as if it were to remind me why I still grind that place... Its not just the mount that is epic.. but the hunt for it...
Today, for the first time I logged in, I did a Baron Rivendare Run on my 75 warrior. This was, according to my achievements statistics, my 21st run against him, where that only counts for post-wrath. My first run today, I was able to procure Baron's runeblade! Not satisfied with this rare delight, I ran again. Unbelievably, a second runeblade dropped! I asked my friend to get on their death knight in hopes that with me running them, they'd get the runeblade in a third, amazing streak. We get to Baron, and lo and behold; Both the Mount AND the Runeblade dropped. My friend had agreed to let me get the mount first, so the third runeblade went to her death knight while I got the Baron mount. It's not as amazing as if it were done pre-wrath, but the mount is still amazing for Alliance players to have.
Id say my second most epic drop was also a big fail. my first character in wow was a rogue and when i made it to 60 i ran strat constantly to try and get my Shadowcraft Pants from Baron. each time i went it was always the pally or mage leggings that dropped. needless to say i never got them and then i went on a break from wow. some time passed, BC released and with it i made a shaman. one day i went with a buddie back to strat to farm some Righteous Orb's and he decided he wanted to try the timed event on dead side to see how fast he could get threw it. well he made the timer and when i walked over to loot Baron, behold the pants i sought long ago dropped for my 70 shaman. i looted them flipped off the corpse and continued on my way. the pants still reside in my shamans bank like a trophy.
