A few years ago, I probably would have applied for this... but no one I know plays anymore! There is one person that I still speak to through Skype, we have a great friendship but he doesn't play anymore.I met him by joining a guild (which was about 7 years ago, crazy!), we both just joined horde very recently and met by coincidence. Not to brag, but we became King and Queen of our realm. Oh, those were the good times! Brings a smile to my face thinking about it, I had so many great friendships on WoW, it also really saddens me to think that it's all in the past....We've never met in person and I doubt we ever will, it seems we're both slowly moving on.But anyway, I would definitely watch this. I bet there's a few interesting stories!
When our main tanks screen broke he couldn't afford a new one so me and other guildmembers bought him one and surprised him by delivering it at his house , we went to get some beers after .
I'm all for meeting "online friends" in RL, but a show like that...Anyway, who cares about my opinion of the show when there's stuff to win.I have met many great people in WoW, even reconnected with old friends by talking about WoW and later playing it together. There is one friend that I play with almost daily, even when he transfered his main first to the other faction and then to another server and back to Horde, we were able to stay in touch thanks to RealID. Well, of course not just that, and he still has alts on the original server, but it definitely helped play together.
Thats great! I remember back in TBC when i helped a guy with a quest and then we became friends. After all these years and some factions changes, some breaks from wow we are still playing together and i consider him one of my closest and best friends :D
I met a very good guy on wow , 3 years ago , and we are exping and raiding, having fun in BG all the time :) Very nice . He is from same country as me. I hope we will drink together , someday.
I've made so many great friends through this game but the best relationship I've made is with my boyfriend! We met in BC and we're still together and have been living together for the past few years now. I wouldn't have met him without this game so WoW will always have a special place in my heart :)
Met my current hubby in wow as a guildmate and we talked and played together for a few months then decided to meet up in person. We got married 9 months later. It's been going strong ever since. We just past out 3 year anniversary last November. If it wasn't for him, I would have been stuck in an abusive relationship. He gave me the strength to divorce the butthole and move on with my life.

Well, I have 2, I met my now-husband while raiding Karazhan and we played forever together and finally we met :D and then my I met my now-best friend from my guild :)
Ah man I would like to apply for this but I alreacy know all of my guildies IRL. Anyway, I remember when I met a guy back in TBC. We played together a lot and after some time we realised we lived in the same town. Soon we became pretty much best buddies and made our own guild that we are still in today :)
Sounds like an amazing way to meet your guildies actually. I'm glad we're moving forward and removing the basement dwelling stereotype!
One of the best friends I have is someone I've never met in person. We met in guild chat around 4 years ago, became fast friends, and for a long part of our friendship have used WoW solely as a chat client. When I was down on my luck financially, he would pay for game time just so he and I could chat. We are hoping that next year, at Blizzcon, we can finally meet in person. It will be his 2nd time and my first. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather go with. Thanks for being such an awesome friend Brett!
I met many friends through Wow. I have friends that I met there that are currently getting married and starting new lives and I get to participate in that and experience that through that friendship that I made in game. I have met friends that I talk to regularly and learn about their personal lives and the things they are going through and we help eachother in our real lives like friends do. I have watched my friends children grow and am currently looking at FB pictures of a friend who has taken his son to his first Magic tournament. It is amazing the number of people I have met and stayed connected to through WoW.
This sounds like a lot of fun. There are some good people in my guild.
There are a few ppl I would love to meet that I have met playing WoW. But the one I would love meeting the most would have to be my lil bit as we call her. She is a sweet and awsome girl and my wife and I just love her to pieces.
Pork/Blue/Jack/Eg/Blaze/Iantha/Lena/Tast/Saidae/Daedeus/Rob/Nex/Xuku/Shae@LotharCouldn't ask for better friends met ingame. I'm a better person for knowing all you guys. Except NexHavn't actually met any of them irl, but that doesn't hinder the friendship any.
I haven't met many people online IRL. However i did meet my current gf for about 1.5 years on wow so... i guess thats something :D
I've met a couple of people since i started playing wow in 2008. We all joined the guild at different times, but through the years the core of the group has remained virtually the same. Since then, we transfered realms on our guild, we played a lot of other games together also, we progress through pve at our (slow) pace and have lots of fun together!Sadly it's difficult for us to meet as, even though some of them are from the UK - those players already met this past summer - the rest of us hail from different parts of Europe, making guild-wide meetings really hard....Despite that I feel that those friendships made over WoW are as true as "real life" friendships, albeit with the added distance.
I've won some friends online from my region. Even went out with some of them, and one grew to be one of my best friends. It's nice to know there are cool people online.
I met many ppl from my guild and it was awesome, now i finally know why that beautiful draenei priest sounds like 50 years old man :D
