Many people these days raid mythic because of gear, not the team sport. If you want mythic to be a purely team sport then remove gear from the equation, as long as gear exists ML abusers will also exist.Main reason I am doing mythic is because they often lock best gear/trinkets behind it and you need those for anykind of pvp, warmode, torghast or even just to roflstomp dangerous elite areas like the maw. (Which I do hope remains somewhat hard even after we get geared and doesnt turn into suramar 2.0)
no it hasnt worked. bring back master loot. thankfully we have the tech to be able to set the loot rules before entering an instance. dont want to use master loot? dont join a guild that uses it. problem solved.

Regarding the supposed drawback "The 475 is not close to an upgrade for you, but you also can't trade it":Simple solution: abolish secondary stats, so that a higher iLvl always means it's an upgrade.-> Problem solved. Simming no longer needed. What a relief that would be.What do you mean, "boring"? Is copypasting your sim string and looking at ideal numbers really "exciting" in any way to you? Come on.
That is a very long post for a very simple question.Answer is no.LFR -> Personal lootOther raid type -> Option from Raid lead between personal and master loot.Problem solved. You are welcome.
This will be on page 12 or so so maybe no one is going to read it but i will post it anyways...ML was horrible, was the way to made u feel bad putting your effort in something. The problem is that this ppl who abuse others don't realise about how bad made ppl feel...SOME of those who defend ML are part of those groups who secretly laugh when they steal something from others because they think is fun and want to have this "ninja" democracy back. There are still A LOT of tyrannical guilds, and even now that u have PL there are still abuses because the "no needed item" is been given to "FRIENDS" disguised as a good RAIDERS. I played BFA from the beginning, I geared my main and did non hardcore MITHIC raiding and even tho i needed a piece, and sadly as a human I selfishly wanted it NOW, I'm a grown up man and i understand that waiting is a thing and u can't have everything on a day so sooner or later i had it (not spending 8 weeks)...PL was the good step for the game and the new weekly reward system will help players to have more choices to have the piece they need from the chest.
I see no issue with it for mythic tbh. Most of us rarely make it that far and the people that do should be able to play the game the way they want to.
I disagree that PL is the best option for the game to work. Master loot was literally just another player interaction element in a game that is supposedly about player interaction. People forming cliques, trials not getting loot, etc., those aren't problems with the game itself - those are problems with the people who run or are in guilds where this happens. And besides, are those things really 'bad'? Some interactions with other people won't be pleasant - such is life - but even bad interactions have value in the big picture.I remember back in WotLK, I knew 2 guys who would run ICC pugs every week, and I'd go out of my way to find out when they usually do them and join theirs instead of anybody elses, simply because I developed some level of trust with them and didn't want to 'risk' joining other groups to not get saved to bad raids or not run into some ninjaing or whatever. There being a _potential_ for bad experiences is what made me stick to a particular group of people that felt nice, and all kinds of relationships developed from that. Trust has more value in a context where bad stuff can happen, and trust having more value is great for an MMORPG.And another thing I want to say is, if you allow trading everything, guilds will essentially be able to completely emulate Master Loot thru policies, in which case... why not simply allow Master Loot to exist as an option in the game code and interface? This is the thing that confuses me the most in Blizzards design here - the community clearly wants ML to the point that they pretend like it still exists, so why not just re-enable the code and UI elements for it?
It's all fine by me honestly. I tend to get more gear with personal loot than I ever did before hand.
From what ive seen durring this discussion here, and in facebook and in the forums. 99% of the people hating on masterloot are people that have never been in cutting edge guild. Never applied to one, and never played as a team. And sadly those people represent the wow playbase. So you cant win. Blizzard simply cater to those players. Those people want an easy game with easy rewards. Masterloot is one obstacle for them to get what they want. Those same people want Raider.io banned and basically want to play single player game. And blizzard slowly progress wow in that direction. The covenants are another example .. turning mmo in to a single player game with those absurd permanent choises at max level. Oh well.. afterall those are the people that provide the most income from WoW. If it was me i would make sure they are happy as well. Happy customers... you know :)
