Just take out Monks and give them Warlocks. Then they will match this list. Not everyone needs monks, i mean Worgen and Goblin still can't be monks and they've been around the pandas way longer than the Zandalari, in a teammate sense anyway.
You assumed so much. Zul'Jin is just a boss, who knows, maybe he has Halazzi chained up in the encounter and it's buffing him up somehow. And the art for the warlock cards cleaaarly show a blood troll for the Soulwarden, not a Zandalari (obviously very closely related but so are Draenei and Lightforged Draenei but clearly different cultures and abilities), so its not much of a stretch to say that the High Priestess is one too.
The leftmost Troll lady in the line up is that War Druid Loti? :)
I'd love to see an updated version of Gadgetzan in WoW ^^
The lack of Shadra makes me sad.
The reason for that initially was because they had different skeletons and in order to make them monks they'd have to update races that they just added the expansion prior to allow them to become monks. Jeklik was a priest, not a warlock, her abilities in game were shadow word pain, mind flay and greater heal, a priest through and through. The only "warlocks" from zandalar mentioned were demoniacs which were more akin to a demon hunter than anything as they used the demons to empower themselves, however demoniacs and all mention of them have been removed from game and any further mentioning have not been implemented, which is a retcon. Suffice to say that ol Rastakhan probably banned all fel magic from his kingdom just like he did blood magic and the only people who would practice such magic would be traitors to the throne.
Neat article, but might want to do some more research before starting on the hypothesizing train.
1) The Soulwarden is not a Zandalari. It's clearly a Blood troll or something else.2) There's also some confusion in this article's section on warlocks.. Zandalari warlocks are very much a thing in the lore (example: Za'roco the Grifter). But they are not a playable class because they are not part of Zandalari society. Just like how draenei warlocks technically exist in the lore, but they're not a thing in draenei society, so you can't play as a draenei warlock. Same for orc priests, tauren mages, tauren rogues, tauren warlocks, pandaren death knight (they exist), and so on. So no, Hearthstone having, supposedly, one Zandalari warlock is nothing new or impressive, as they also already exist in WoW. Just like any race can technically be any class, it's just that they don't represent the playable classes.
I think it's interesting how Sethrak aren't a part of this. That further shows that the Sethrak/Sethraliss are not all that closely related to the trolls and THEIR loa.
"Zandalari have no connection with fel magic", I mean neither do Darkspear. They're not literal demon worshippers or something, the same way tauren paladins aren't the same as Uther or Arthas.... Idk, I was really disappointed that they can't be warlocks. Still hyped up for Rastakhan's Rumble though, I don't even play HS normally XP
That bat one looks like a demon hunter trying to be incognito more than an actual troll.
