A good summarize of lores.
As long as sylvanas doesn't die again or any more im all fine i like having female lore characters around.
I am so sick and tired of Orcs and their story lines. I am Orced out. This is the second time Thrall has got involved in a “rebellion”.I also happen to like Sylvanas myself and am all for strong female characters. They better not kill her off.
Bah. Talanji's a better female lore character. Sylvanas...meh. Removed
Seeing Chen Stormstout getting involved would be nice too.
Sylvanas has too big of a fanbase for blizz to kill her off. I'm sure they have something else in mind. She could possibly just up and leave the horde or have a redemption arc a la kerrigan from starcraft
The summary of the lore for each character is concise enough, although I feel that people are far too willing to ignore the complacencies and moral failings of each of these characters, as well as the questions of how this plays into the endgame of the Black Empire and the Void (Yogg-Saron's remnants, the entity in the Shadowlands, and N'zoth in particular). For starters, it seems that a majority of players are willfully ignorant of the facts stated in A Good War regarding the War of Thorns- Saurfang was the mind behind that entire conflict up until he spared Malfurion. Saurfang was instructed by Sylvanas to plan a war to take Darnassus for the Horde; she explicitly chose him to plan the war because she wanted an honourable war to be won but recognized that- being the jaded undead character she is- would not be able to wage an honourable war. So she entrusted that to Saurfang who planned out some of the more controversial aspects including:
So do Thrall and Saurfang just... not remember being enslaved for all those years?
Not even Zappy boy included who literally convinced Saurfang to fight for the Horde instead of give up.
No mention of Zappy boi :( Blizz better not forget him! ;D
"A Good War" was a disaster and I wish all would forget that it existed. The whole novella was horrible. "War is bad, Sylvanas!""There is no way Alliance and Horde would ever be at peace"(mental snap where Saurfang forgets everything that happened to him prior)"Ok, let's attack Alliance" "This is Horde territory now" "We will conquer whole of Kalimdor"Creating a distraction to ensure your enemies can't put up resistance is OK.Sending assassins to eliminate enemies before without giving them a chance to retaliate is OK.(mental snapback)Hitting an enemy commander who has been threatening to kill you earlier in the back is horribly dishonourable! Let's help these poor night elves evacuate, they have no homes now!Remember the Silithus cinematic? Where Saurfang calls Sylvanas and Gallywix "rats squirming about"? It was a perfect demonstration of his mistrust. The very first thing he does in the book is follow Sylvanas' bloody stupid reasoning.Would the orc who told everyone to never forsake their honour, ever go along with Sylvanas? Did he not understand that he would be doing the very same thing he hated himself for? The author clearly had no idea who he was writing about, but the plot demands and so characters act. And so it goes - the modern story of World of Warcraft.
