Wrath was my fav. :)
The Burning Crusade. First raiding experience off-tanking Lurker.
Eventho every expansion has been great, I must say the vanilla one was the greatest. Back then, everything was so new, so fresh. Everything was epic, from entering a new zone, to that first time you joined a 40man raid to venture into Molten Core. I remember being around level 30 on my night elf druid, flying between Ironforge and Stormwind, seeing the Altar of Storms in Burning Steppes. Once I hit 30, and got the travel form, I ran from Stormwind through the zones and into Burning Steppes, killed by both horde and mobs along the way, only to visit the Altar of Storms for the very first time, up close, that was truly an epic moment!
I think TBC was my favourite expansion, in spite of how I burnt out by the end of it. Karazhan was amazing.
I really have liked MoP the best out of the expansions (although I am more than ready for WoD...SoO has been out waaaay too long and it's time for some change).I have played since release and got burned out through AQ from farming tons of stuff for the gates (I play on Hyjal and I think we were 4th to open). Played some in BC but was in grad school so it was difficult, and Cata was fun to see the changes to the original places.
My favorite Warcraft expansion has always been The Burning Crusade. Outland was and is so much a fantasy, unlike the somewhat "real" natural terrain and creatures of the original "vanilla" WoW.Seeing Shattrath for the first time from my first flying mount, a golden Gryphon, was astonishing and amazing. On the whole, Shattrath is still my favorite city. Terrokar Forest, Nagrand, Zangarmarsh, Blade's Edge Mountains, and the Netherstorm were the most engaging. (Hellfire Peninsula and Shadowmoon Valley were dreary and devastated battlegrounds of no particular appeal.) Running dungeons was still the focus of almost everyone's activity, and my Paladin had a Retribution spec first, then a Protection spec. I began tanking dungeon parties in vanilla and became an expert at Black Rock Spire (both upper and lower). The Outland dungeons were plentiful and kept me occupied and interested for quite a while. For what it is worth, I never did any raiding until my Paladin advanced enough for WOTLK and then only after running the dungeons many times just for the experience, whether also the gear. I've never had the same enthusiasm for raiding as I have had for the adventuresome quests, exploring the world, and running dungeons. I also do not like and do not participate voluntarily in PvP. Frankly, I do not have any compelling reason to play Warlords of Draenor. If the title is all that it is about, then do I really want to play a war game? I have not bought WoD yet and it is entirely possible that I never will. There are other MMORPGs aplenty which have more appeal in many respects. I've always said that WoW is not a role-playing fantasy game. It is a parody of one. So, maybe it is time to return to playing real fantasy games, instead of patronizing a corporation that produces buggy software with quick-and-dirty programming absent any evident sense of what players need in the UI, and, above all, one which embraces, promotes, rewards, and exploits internecine animosity and contempt among the players of opposing factions as a marketing strategy just for their own profit. We don't need any more vengeance-seekers, power-through-violence seekers, and bigots on our real dustball, and we don't need them in our fantasy worlds, either. Enough said.
I would like dreanor i have no monies
Wrath and Pandaria were easily my Favourite! Wrath introduced a vast amount of zones in which I still visit often, the beauty and tranquillity in these zones, despite their fall to the influence of the Scourge inspires me even now, offering a unique look on how the most expressionate of things can succumb to the bleak and stark wasteland that is death. Pandaria; a strong contrast to that of Wrath, reminisced on the feeling I felt on my first glimpse of WoW, simply exasperated! In addition to this, the Pet-Battles bore a new meaning to the lives of the little friends I'd gathered along my Adventures. In particular I've always loved Asian Architecture and the Culture, so bringing essences of this into perspective was an interesting and wondrous sight to witness, without the invading Sha, of course!I truly hope Warlords of Draenor will be the Expansion to outmatch the others, after playing Beta for a short while, it seems to live up to reputation, fingers crossed for an awesome experience! :D
I haven't been playing for to long but i loved cataclysm. I loved the goblins start and the worgens just as much.
My favorite WoW expansion is absolutely Wrath of the Lich King. It was the most solid in story and player character development. Not too mention some of the most accessible content!
It was hard for me to choose but I'd have to go with Wrath of the Lich King. I started playing WoW months before it came out, and by then I was still fresh to the game. I really liked the whole lore around the entire zone of Northrend, along with a lot of the quest lines there too. There were some things I didn't really enjoy, but since those are small I won't describe them. It's too bad I didn't get to go through the raids at the time the expansion was still out, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless.
The Burning Crusade was my favorite! It was the expansion I got addicted to WoW on and it was the expansion that got me interested in my main's class... SHAMAN! Remember Enhancement Shaman in BC? I miss WF totems!I can't afford the expansion atm and I'm going to miss launch day, so wish me luck!. :DThank you for the giveaway WoWHead!
WotLK was definitely the most bad-ass expansion. It finally felt like being submerged into another world with that content.
I have to say Wrath of the Lich King, without it I wouldn't have my Death Knight, and I love playing that class.
I'd say Wrath but mainly because I was able to play with my brother at that time.Vanilla and BC was probably best beyond that due to the guild and the people I had around at the time.
Wrath of the Lich King.
Im brand new so ive only ever played MoP, i think its quite fun
My favorite was MoP because it was fun to be able to run SoO with friends. GL everyone
I'd have to say Vanilla. My significant other and I had just started being "friends with benefits" and it wasn't until we started playing WoW together, sometimes in the same room, sometimes not, that we realized just how much we had in common. It's corny, but ever since then we've leveled through each new expansion on our mains. Those are our some of our favorite memories, and it all started in Vanilla.
My favorite expansion Wrath of Lich King
