So what is the goal of the tavern brawl, and how do you win?
It's not to end in your victory. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EndlessGame
As far as I can tell, you can't lose...just do as much damage as you can until Stormwind deals the lethal blow. => Easiest week ever for completing your daily quests!Other comments:- I played the first match not knowing what the heck was going on, so a little better explanation would've helped.- It's an interesting concept; however, it would be nice if it kept track of your high score.
What will happen if we ooze the weapon?
There should at least be a high scores board, to give you some incentive to try.I guess I should be thankful for the free pack with very little effort...
what about fatigue and destroying the weapon? I may have a great deck to play this brawl forever
And what about ?
Note that Armory doesn't increase attack every turn, and on later turns it increases by more. Around turn 10 it was increasing by 3 attack at the end of every one of his turns.
So early game you will want as much weapon removal as possible with ooze and pirate 1 drop, to stop the build up of the weapons buffing minionswhile you get ur own on the board. You will need some board clear(used flame strike)Emporer thaurassian to help u get ur big drops down faster (harrison jones is also useful later in the game)for big drops Gruul, Kelthazad and Ysera i found had the most effect(also sea giant, be aware of its mirror image and mindcontrol tech for 3 plus minions)Kalvider raider and Mucklas champion help you keep the boardI personally did this as mage and found it to be the most effective(ancient armor can help take 1 damage from fatigue, summon stone and gadget auctioneer for spell effects)Storm Stormwind Mage by KamiYomi Class: MageMage (12)Sorcerer's ApprenticeArcane Intellect x2CounterspellFlamewaker x2SpellslingerAnimated ArmorDemented FrostcallerEthereal ConjurerFlamestrike x2Neutral (18)Bloodsail Corsair x2Acidic Swamp Ooze x2Grim Patron x2Harrison JonesKvaldir RaiderMukla's ChampionSummoning StoneEmperor ThaurissanGadgetzan AuctioneerToshleyGruulKel'ThuzadRagnaros the FirelordYseraSea Giant
Just went 24 rounds with a dispell priest. Tried to fill the board and dispell everything to 0/1. It just had too man buffs. One banner and it cleared his board. Then it played a Champion, and I could not come back. This really does need a leader board.
some mechanics side notes:
I guess 627 damange and 55 minions kills in 37 turns is ok... right?
The Kel'Thuzad + Taunt bug with the AI seems to be alive and well. - where the computer doesn't attack if both Kel'Thuzad and a taunt are out.Played a priest buff deck.Had out a Kel'Thuzad + 2x Djinii of Zephyrs + 2x Mukla's Champion + Psych-o-tronNote that it has a few other things in the deck that can cause issues for this strategy - Brawl, Mind Control Tech and Dark Bargain.I actually managed to kill it - Damage 1063 / Turn 16 / Minions 15
It took me a while to work out what was going on but once I realised that the minions were buffed to the weapon power and I put in some and some it became a lot easier!Obviously silence works really well as does to get rid of the 0 attack taunts.I found that Ice Block doesn't work. The game ends when it's popped just as if you didn't have it. works well in this. Not only does the minion keep the buff it had when you copied it but it then adds whatever buff the city is on currently to the total! My highest so far is 40/17/23.
The Blingtron Brawl was just one of my favorite! I always hope the next tavern brawl will be it again!
my great record http://subefotos.com/ver/?0888fbad6d0f02682d3ec5819e8c9c5do.png
My personal best so far. Kel-thuzad and Mukla were great until I finally was overwhelmed.206 damage, 21 turns, 31 minions killed.
