Yeah, Brill or the Sepulcher before they remodeled to make it look stupid.
Not an inn per se, but my selection would be Sunsong Ranch since you can set your Hearthstone there. After it's been fully cleaned up and upgraded with all the flavor decorations, it feels like a HOME. You worked and toiled on it, you put effort into it... and it feels cozy.
You know there is a content drought when WoWhead is posting about inns/taverns.
Time for a pub crawl!
Ah god. So many old places I held my HS in...but nowdays Tavern in my garrison attracts even questgivers and even some stange sellers across Draenor =)
Grim Guzzler! All these times that I've farmed BRD for rare drops I always feel slightly bad when I drop my first Rain of Fire on the poor drinking Dark Irons... And the goblin crew setting up the scene for the band! And the soot clouds around the stove! And the innkeep walking ON the bar! And the flavor quests! And Loktos Darkbargainer! And Direbrew!
One of my favorite parts of the Grim Guzzler is getting Dire Brew, which is a little bit of a secret. Sort of.
Wayfarer's Rest in Silvermoon city is my favorite tavern, there's no bar staff and on Argent dawn EU players take it upon themselves to serve the patrons. there's a lot of fun to be had here if you roleplay, it's a great place to bring your friends and share stories while getting drunk, and if your friends gets too drunk do the right thing and take the keys for their mount away from them.
1. Blue Recluse (And mainly it's unamed twin in the Stormwind Park) - I remember RPing here for a time in a guild that was solely dedicated to acting as the tavern's bartenders. We would bark via /yell and trade about our services and people would actually come. The night usually ended with lots of players gathered, lots of social activity, and tons of new friends every day.2. Grim Guzzler - I remember playing here with my girlfriend and first discovering it after an instance run. We would make use of the Direbrew often and show off with it in capital cities. Once we got our remotes during like, one of our first ever brewfests, it was fun to return here just to park our characters before logging/afking, or just for ol' nostalgia's sake.3. Horde's Dalaran Inn/Ledgermain Lounge - These were both great. Even when Dal was hella laggy back in Wrath, I still loved how spacious and cozy these were. Especially the Horde inn.4. Salty Sailor & The Speedbarge Bar - Both of these are very unique. The former due to being made out of pirate ships, and the latter for it's unique ability to have a bar fight, as well as it's coziness. The Speedbarge is a very underrated hub that is forgotten by most after questing there. I suggest you make it the home of at least one alt, if not simply for all it's quirks and coziness (and the cool boat you can get for travel in the area!)5. World's End Tavern/Thundermar Inn - These are probably some of the coziest inns i've ever had visited. The World's End Tavern was amazing when Shattrath was in it's prime. MANY folks visited there, no matter the faction, level or any other possible barriers. It had events that folks attended (although L70ETC playing the same song got old fast. Should've added their others, Blizzard!) and a few easter eggs/cool items. Damn shame it died out with the rest of Shattrath come WoTLK. The inn within Thundermar, Twilight Highlands, is one of the coziest simply for it's design. Infact all the houses feel that way. It's like being inside a hobbit's home, and the entire town looks like the shire as well. Very cool, and I do recommend a visit there when questing on an alt!
Brill Pre-Cataclysm.And the Inn at the Crossroads.
The Grim Guzzler!
No mention of the Speedbarge Bar?A floating bar in the middle of a giant lake where you're served by Daisy (Dukes) and can start bar fights between goblins and gnomes? All it needs is pool tables and my hearth would never be set anywhere else.I just KNEW somebody would beat me to posting about that one. Doesn't EVERYBODY like a good a bar fight? /snarkI
The Forsaken taverns don't even have a keg or bottle in sight! I never knew the one in Brill was a tavern, i thought it was just another building. The Inn at the Sepulcher was just an inn as far as I knew. They really need to work on some of these, add a bar with coffin tables and brews in fizzy glowing bottles similar to their Alchemy potions.
Lunarfall Inn. Why? Peace and quiet, and no unwanted visitors. (Except Millhouse. Who the hell let him in?)
Its funny because Thelsamar stands out as one of my favorites in mind. Good Dwarf tavern in a hill with a neat barmaid quest.
