Like with the last post, gonna put up a bit of advice on deck building/cards useful to face each boss this wingNoth: First, due to his hero power being quite different (passive, instead of active), you need to be careful at all times. Due to Death Coil and Unstable Ghoul, one and even 2 health minions should be avoided, and even 1/2 power minions should be minimal to avoid just in case he uses Crazed Alcamist (he will combo it with deathcoil to kill 1 atk minions). Shaman and Paladins sould avoid using their hero powers for this reason. For any decks invovling multiple spells, be sure to have some cheapish/non-necisary spells to be able to test his secrets for Counterspell or if he has Duplicate, in witch case try and kill one of his crapper minions (unstable ghoul or acolyte of pain being the best options) to keep it from being useful on something good. Last, Do not exspend too much, hold a few things, once he gets to 6 mana, for he can wipe your board with Plague.Heroic Noth drastically increases the need to avoid leting your minions die, cause now, instead of an easily dealable 1/1, he creates 5/5s. Like with Anub, having ways to get ride of waves of his 5/5s are quite important however, the slight boost in power/toughness, as well as the heropower making you want to avoid trading minions, means its a bit tougher. Like with anub, hit him directly with minions if u can safely survive, let his 5/5s attack your creatures. For easy-to-get minions that can trump the 5/5s without dying are Bolderfist Orge, Venture Co Mercernary, Archmage (does need another point of damage, but Also allows mages to use Flamestrike to wipe out all of them), Stormwind Champion, War Golem, and (class depending) Dread Infernal/Temple Enforcer/Guardian of Anciant Kings/Ironbark protector.Heigan: His hero power makes it a stratagy just to place you minions. Paladins and Shamans should use there hero power before playing another minion to take the blast form his hero power. Overall however, you sould only play minions who can live tough his hero power (3+ toughness minions on normal, 4+ on heroic), or enough minions a turn to only lose the leftmost. Outside 1 drop class cards, Enrage minions/Amani Berserker are also great options for taking the hero power. Considering how easy his power is to deal with, the rest of his deck is what you should worry about. It is quite agressive and brutal, using many cheap-cost warlock cards. Board wipes, as well as Taunts with 2 attack as well as a large amount of hp, can hold back most of his deck. But last card to be aware of outside warlock's normal demons is Faceless Manipulator, who will typically target your best minion.Heroic Heigan isnt too much different, cept now hero power does 3 damage (so you need to replace your 3 toughness cards with 4+). Some good cheap-and-easy-to-get are Senjin Shieldmaster, Stoneskin Gargolye (who, if defended, can reliably eat every heropower sent its way), Silverback Patriarch, Mogu Warden, Chillwind Yeti, and Fen Creeper. The other notable thing is he starts with a Voidcaller, and to keep it from keeping tempo, should have a combo of ether 2 kill spells (one for him,one for whatever demon comes out) and/or a Silence (Owl is good for any, or along side, priest Silence).Loatheb is quite a unique fight. compared to the other Nax bosses til this point, His hero power is rather simple, but for that reason, can be the most devistating. He deals 3 to your hero (thus, a better version of hunter's power), meaning by default, not even Warrior's armor or Priest's heros heal will save you forever. As for his actual cards, Keep your 1 toughness minions for most part outta this, as well as minimize your 2 toughness as well, due to Sporeburst and Unstable Ghoul. On the flip side, your larger minions should be 6 or more toughness to survive being hit with Deathbloom. Once again, the painful Shade of Naxxuramus returns, as well as Flesheating Ghouls, and even Fen creepers as some solid defenders for his board, making silence and low-costing killspells quite valuable. What makes this fight dealable, is the spores summoned by his 2 biggest kill spells. As they are 0/1s who deathrattle into boosting all of YOUR creatures, is a good idea to have some pinging minions/spells (mages can just use their hero power when ready). Some good-but-easy-obtainable minion choices that either can live though sporeburst/Unstable ghoul or being hit by deathbloom, or can hit the spores to buff your army, are Elvish archer (as easy kill for spores, even if they die easy), Unstable Ghoul, Ironforge Rifleman, Oasis Snapjaw, Mogu Warden, Fen Creeper, and Stormwind Champion.Heroic is a mega-rush of a challege..cause his health has been buffed, but also cause he starts with a fen Creeper AND a spore, so having a starting hand with a kill spell for the Fencreeper, as well a possibly a pinger to hit the spore would be ideal. Is also a good test of stratagy to know when to use your minions to hit his, or to be able to go after him himself.
Banning Alexstrasza was dumb imo. You're not just preventing players from using it to 'cheat' his health pool - they're losing the opportunity to use it for self healing and the fact that they crafted it so that they could deal 15 less damage to their opponent. Why didn't Blizz just take the advice everyone has been giving them and give the bosses 30 health + x armor? Because they didn't think of it and they're stubborn? It would be the best compromise.. players still get use out of her, but she's not overvalued. I don't even have an Alexstrasza and this annoys me. There's a lack of thought.
The best way to defeat Heroic Noth as well as Heigan, in my experience, is to have almost no minions at all. I used a Mage deck which was all spells except Alexstrasza and Malygos. Plenty of secrets like Ice Barrier and Ice Block kept me alive. Vaporize killed anything that attacked me and the deck was full of wipes and freezes. The lack of minions completely neutralized both Noth's power and Heigan's power and it was fairly easy to last until turn 9 where a 2 turn win with Alexstraza and Pyroblast clinched it. I got Noth on my first try with the deck and Heigan on the third attempt.Loatheb was a lot trickier but Priest worked for me. Particularly the Lightwell and Holy Nova coupled with the deathrattle summons from a lot of the new cards (Haunted Creeper, Nerubian Egg, Sludge Belcher). Also Shadow Word Pain to take out the initial taunt. It took about three attempts once I'd sussed out the deck I needed.
