I wish these were still available. I much prefer the unarmored versions to the armored ones. That's why I put forth the effort to get the Winterspring Frostsaber for my Night elf.

The date is 11/22/05. If you say that you can still buy these mounts where can you buy them. I like the frostsaber epic. The one with out the armour. If they are still puchasable i would like to know where cuz i coulndnt find the vendor in Darnassus. The only other one i like is the Winterspring Frost saber which im currently working on but if the ol epics are still available i might just settle for that.

you buy it from Darnassus...if your not NE you have to reach exhaulted with Darnassus to buy one

That is not correct.

This mount is no longer available anywhere.

It has been replaced with the armor-covered frostsaber. (wich I personaly think is terribly sad, the one without armor was way cuter)

(If you're a dwarf, gnome or human and want a saber (any other saber than this saber, of course) you do need to become exalted with Darnassus. But since the mount in this subject is no longer avialable this is acutally not very relevant...)

You go on ebay and buy an account with someone that has this mount. It isnt available anymore.

I own one of these. It is NO LONGER buyable. They removed them and added the new epic mounts with the armor. When they did that, they gave us the option to trade our old mounts in for the new ones. I chose not to trade mine in and was therefore able to keep it.

So, if you see these in-game, it just means that the person bought it before the switch and decided to keep it. That is why they are still around. They are not buyable anymore. You can't buy them. No one sells these. Cannot be purchased.

So for my druid, I just got him a Stormwind mount, cause the new tiger mounts SUCK.

Seriously, Blizzard needs to hire someone with a better sense of aesthetics. Maybe a consultant or something.

I doubt that's true, ߲acioletta. Why would someone grind to exalted with the Wintersaber Trainers, buy hundreds of gold's worth of training for an epic mount, then spend another 90g to but the SWIFT Frostsaber, just to have the replace option not take in your somehow combined Wintersaber/Frostsaber?

This mount along with the Nightsaber mount are both back and availible to get. All you need is the 150 training along with the 100% kitty mount. With those you will have the ability to trade the mount for either the Frostsaber or Nightsaber. ^.^

Lame is making the coolest looking mount in the game, i.e. Cats, only available to alliance. Oh, wait, horde can ride lizards and dogs. dont forget cows and crappy looking skeletal horses.

Why don't the Horde get anything like this? We don't have any mount that is attainable in Azeroth, equivalent to the Frostsaber. Is this Blizzard trying to say something? We should at least be able to get this mount, or make us something like it.

Hoard mounts pwn. I would do anything to ride a raptor/wolf/skeletal horse. All I get to ride is an ugly elephant. Anyway, the ally mounts or so plain!

I was talking to a GM yesterday about mounts and what was available. She told me to go to the wow armory and look up "reins". She told me EVERYTHING in that list is still available in game, and the old mounts are still in the list. So anyone have any ideas?
Maybe it's just referring to people who still haven't changed it, but i'm still curious. The old palomino mount is still in the list.

The saber vendor in darnassus has a quest were you can trade a sift saber to a frostsaber or a nightsaber.

This Mount used to be buyable before the 1.4 patch in Classic WoW.

It is one of the 14 unarmored Mounts that have been made unavailable with that patch.

Here's a list of all the unarmored Mounts:

Interestingly enough, the Undead are the only race that didn't have any unarmored versions. This is because they've already had the armored versions in that patch.
