ok. the achievement, 'Spore Loser' is it an oversite like the Malygos kill for the Champion of the Frozen Waste?

This is arguably one of the hardest achievements ingame at the moment, due to the sub achievement, The Twilight Zone.

Killing Sartharion with three drakes up is argued to be harder in the 10 man version than the 25 man, as you have very little flexibility with raid comp in the 10 man. For example, you can really only bring 2 tanks, as the DPS requirement is fairly hefty and so, between two tanks, you'll have to deal with fire elemental adds that spawn all over the place, portal adds, at times two drakes (3 drakes up is pretty much a wipe) and Sartharion himself.

And I must disagree with you vikey, I've completed *The Undying* which was fairly easy compared to *The Twilight Zone* 10 man version tries that I've had so far. When you say *You can easily do it with a stable group* it sounds like you never have tried to do that achievement ever. You need alot more then just a stable group to pull it of.

actually "The twilight zone" can be said to be "Same difficulty" as the "The immortal" achivment , perhaps harder

I would say my biggest tip is to try and spread the classes out so you only take 1 or 2 of each class.

Take:
1 MT
1 Aoe OT
2 healers (1 group 1 tank)
6 dps (1/2 melee, 4/5 caster)

Then you look at all the achievements you need to do.

Week 1 I would start with doing a full Naxx run, getting every single little achievement that the group needs. That way in one week everyone is on the same page. You could finish week 1 off with a Sarth 8man and a Maly 8man (dropping a tank). Remember to get Denying the Scion while you're at it fr as many people as possible.

Week 2 you go for Naxx 8man. This is hard but doable in about 3 days. Sapphiron is the hard part of it. Do Sarth 8man and Maly 8man again with the tank who dropped in Week 1. Get more Denying the Scion's.

Week 3 Naxx 8man again with the two who dropped for Week 2. Do Sarth10 with dps and healers standing on the edges of the island for their Volcano achievement. Spend the rest of the week practicing and perfecting Maly 6 mins.

Week 4 Naxx Undying. This is not nearly as difficult as it sounds, particularly if you've been practicing for it for 3 weeks. Then Sarth10 for the rest of the group's Volcano, and then Maly 6 mins. Hopefully you'll get that this week.

Week 5 This is where it gets hard. Sarth3d. All night, every night.

Obviously this is only a rough estimate. But it gives you some idea of the commitment you need and what everyone on your team is getting themselves into. Imo its fun to do while we're waiting for Ulduar to fill our nights. Hope this helps. :)

Not true as of patch 3.0.8. When you complete the achievement you receive an in-game mail with the item from Alexstrasza.

It is soulbound.
It is a 310% mount.
It is pretty cool looking.

Better complete this achievement while you still can because you won't be able to get the drake as a reward once the 3.1 patch goes live.

Bornakk posted the following on the Blizzard forums just a little while ago today:

When 3.1 goes live, the rewards for “Glory of the Raider” and “Heroic: Glory of the Raider” are being removed. These achievements will still be active, however, players will no longer receive the Plagued Proto-Drake or Black Proto-Drake for completing them. Similar to our decision to remove the Amani War Bear from Zul’Aman, the goal is to ensure that such mounts retain a degree of rarity in the game; and with raids progressing into Ulduar in patch 3.1, we feel obtaining the rewards for “Glory of the Raider” and “Heroic: Glory of the Raider” would be somewhat trivialized. For this reason we will be offering new fast mounts (310 speed) as rewards for completing select achievements associated with 10 and 25-player Ulduar.

My guild only raids 10 man content. The following composition and strat works well for us:

- Prot Paladin tanking drakes
- Death Knight tanking spawns
- Feral Druid tanking Sarth (stacking stamina)
- Holy Paladin
- Holy Priest
- Enhancement Shaman (heroism)
- Survival Hunter (replenishment)

The rest of our DPS will vary, we tend to stack melee and sneak in a mage when we can.

The key to the fight is limiting the amount of time you spend with drakes two and three up. We pop heroism right after the first drake is dead, so we can then burn through the second and third drake.

The tank for Sarth has 40K with the health debuff up. That's important in surviving the flame breaths.

If timed correctly, a Druid can sometimes use Barkskin to cover two flame breaths (with the extended duration from T7 set bonus). You then pop Survival Instincts when Barkskin is down. If your DPS is slow and you're out of cooldowns make sure you bring a fire resist potion (one of the level 70 ones) so that you can mitigate another breath. If you're DPS doesn't have the second drake down at that point it's probably a wipe because of whelp spawns.

It is also useful to have some fire resist for this fight. You certainly don't want to nerf any of your tanking gear, so try and acquire pieces you can use for this fight. For example, I use Hood of the Exodus with the Kirin-Tor FR helm enchant and Durable Nerubhide Cape with the +20 FR enchant. Those, along with a Chromatic Flask and Pally aura give you a fair amount of resist to lower flame breath damage.

The Glyph of Frenzied Regeneration is also good for Druid tanks on this encounter. It's the flame breath damage, not physical damage, that will kill you. So this is a good way to boost your healing received during this period.

For us, healing on the drake tank is difficult because he is taking melee and breath damage from two targets. Our healers will burn through their mitigation talents (hand of sacrifice, etc) during that period to help keep the drake tank up.

It's also good to stop after you take down the second drake and stabalize the encounter. Top everyone off because twilight torment will still be up.

Once the drakes are down clean up the remaining spawns and then have your drake tank and dps hop in the portal. We usually have a healer go in the portal for just a few seconds to top everyone off and then exit to focus on the other tanks.

Once the dragonkin in the portal is down the rest of the fight is easy mode.

This achievement is actually not overly hard. There are three 'difficult' achievements on the list - if you can complete those three, you've all but gotten a 310% speed mount.

*The Undying - whilst it might seem hard, in 10 man Naxx every single fight has strategies which, with proper execution, will allow you to complete them without death. As such, if you miss the Undying in any given run, it's likely due to poor gameplay by a raid member - not difficulty of an encounter.
*You Don't Have An Eternity - with 7 dpsers, a shaman, competent healers and nobody being carried, it's not too bad. I myself claimed the achievement a fortnight ago (other people in the guild already had it); on our first attempt we were considering aborting as our ele shammy forgot to re-glyph, but we were making great time and ended up one shotting it - despite the shammy putting out 10-20% less dps than he could have.
*The Twilight Zone - yes, it is undoubtedly the hardest encounter in the game at the moment. But you can get in attempt after attempt after attempt. Provided you're using a solid strategy, one of those attempts should break through. It's nowhere near as easy as 25 man (in 25 man, we tend to one shot it and are unlucky if we see a Sarth super breath ; in 10 man we tend to get 3-4 super breaths and take 1-2 raid nights depending on group composition), but the luxury is you only have to do it once.

If you can get those 3, the rest of the achievements are largely 'filler' fluff which you should definitely go for. If you look at Glory of the Raider as compared to Heroic: Glory of the Raider, both have an achievement which is preventing most people from getting the mounts: Twilight Zone for 10 man, and the Immortal for 25 man. Having said that, the 10 man meta-achievement has the luxury of a large number of attempts per week, making it (IMO) the far easier of the two achievements. Anyone who considers themselves a serious or hardcore raider should go for it - it's an easy 310% speed mount.

so the following raid achievements don't apply to this meta achievement: spore loser and less is more(OS 8)? obviously the simpler versions like fall of naxxramas, OS+1 and OS+2, and quarter ones is unnecessary because youll need to kill complete them for other achievements which are in the meta.

god damn so hard achi it do take ages do it . but if you got nice guild do a lot of raids and are good on get achi it is easy.
