Tidal Charm used to be a good fake out for a Pally to use, as it from memory shared a very close animation to Hammer of Justice, so you could trick someone into using an ability or trinket to get out of the 3 sec stun of Tidal Charm then lead into HoJ - tho 15 minute cool down did mean was not something to rely on. Just a possible secret lil trick to catch people out with when really needed~!
the true power of the skull is breaking ccs
I remember back in the day, when I was leveling my warrior. I parked him in the water in southern arathi overnight and created a macro to target Prince Nazjak. I still have the macro saved! It was the first one I ever made. I woke up at 5AM and got him. Got the stopwatch as well. The questline required a gyrochronatom and a frost oil which made it tricky if you didn't have those professions. Linken's boomerang was another really good trinket to get for PVP. It had a really far range to it for a possible stun/disarm.
HUH so that's where Burning Rush for warlocks came from. From the skull neat.
For duels Crystal of Zin-Malor reigns supreme over skull. You just cycle it while eating till the ticks are below 100 as they are affected by armor and you go smash stuff with permanent cc breaksIts alliance only just fyi and if you finish the quest you lose the item
My favorite use of the Skull of Impending Doom is to pop it right before grabbing the WSG flag. Even if a hunter laid a trap for me, watch the damage just pull you out of the trap and then you're off to the races!
That's nice, but ancient trinkets don't do much in the modern game, I'm afraid. The best one I hang onto gives me Gus, a goblin who "diagnoses" my current health needs. This is the problem with the Stormpike Insignia: you can't use it without exiting combat, switching to it, and thereby destroying your ilvl -- and having to wait 30 seconds to use it.
