There IS a CoT portal in Legion-Dalaran...
Man, remember when Thousand Needles was a salty desert?
Just me or do these NPCs sound a bit too modern for the game's setting..?
This is the most useless thing in the game
Faster than a flying mount
i think this is by far the most fun micro holiday they added into the game.
Can't get myself to be interested in this event... must be more interested in the incoming AK cap by tomorrow i guess. than a minor order resources dump to mail to alts
Take this perfect opportunity to level a character from level 40-45 in a really short time. The 4 world quest available during this time in Thousand Needles give 28900 experience each. ( At level 44) The Goblins Stole Our Bombs! is repeatable at this time, with a 30-60 min reset time.
Uhm, my Small Boat looks exactly like the River Boat from Thousand Needles, not like the small wooden one shown in the screenshots. Or is it random?
It seems to depend on your race what kind of boat you get.
Micro-Holiday Checklist. Step 1.Scroll through checking for toys, mounts, collectables. Step 2. Hover over (use your XXX) in micro-holiday guide, realize its not part of the event. Step 3. Close page.
I'm on Bloodhoof and this event has not worked yet for me, It's been bugged for me since midnight, not being able to get the 'tar' to make the boat.
Overall, this is a fun micro-holiday. I like the Blood elves partying on their boat. If I could suggest and improvement perhaps a mechanic that allows you to change your boat to different race designs. As a human, the basic wooden canoe is pretty bland. I'm jealous of the Tauren and Pandaren boats skimming across the water. Some way to change to a particular race boat and you can only change it in Thousand Needles.
Well, it seemed like a more involved event than all the previous ones, with those world quests popping up. Only lasted for about 5 minutes after that initial feeling, but it was still ok. It would be cool to see a bunch of people out on the water, but that just isn't going to happen when there's no tangible, permanent reward.
make sure you are fishing in the 'submarine tar pools' left behind in the water by the giant surfaced submarine. Also look for tar covered fish that end up floating behind the sub.
Reins of Poseidus farming! A simple target macro works for 3/5 spots on surface.
That paladin looks so excited to be there.
There are so many bugs in this event they should have considered hosting it in the BROKEN isles rather than the thousand needles.Things I encountered:1) My boat hovering over my head2) Flickering / disappearing tar pools3) Quest progress reseting (when fishing up junk, my count reset back to 0/10).4) Crash to desktop. Memory could not be read error, and..4ii) Disconnection. Both these errors happened when the submarine ran over me.4iii) The crash to desktop completely reset the event (for the boat parts), but fortunately I completed it (the boat, not the quest) because I could still get tar.
