When you get to this quest, the memories you need to burn are gold colored, transparent, and right in front of the big golden fire. They're hard to see at least at first.

did only see 1 and then nothing happend for 2min .. relogged fixxed it and i could click each one similar to in the video

After clicking one of the papers, don't move else the quest will bug out and you will have to abandon and retake the quest.

Bugged for me on 2/3.

Reloged and the 3rd showed again, clicked it without moving and it worked, so no need to abandon the quest.

Dont do anythign else, dont be moutned dont open map and dont open bags. THEN it works

Might be a hidden channeling cast bar when clicking the memories. Moving or hitting the escape key seems to stop the progress of the burning. Abandon the quest and take it again.

if you are in a group with someone else doing quest, it bugs it out if they are ahead your progress. basically when theirs finishes, so does yours (even if yours wasn't finished).

I did not get credit for one of the memories that I was listening to when I got into combat from someone fighting a mob nearby (like 12 yards away). Ended up with 2/3 memories and could not click the memories again.

Relogging made the memory reappear and I could then complete it.

For some reasons, quests did not work for me, first time i was stuck on 1/3 memories, then 2/3, tried to abandom the quest etc.

Then I found out whats was a problem. My ADHD! Once I clicked the paper, I was mounting up immidiatley :P And for some reasons it was cancelling some kind of cast bar during the quest?

Whatever you do, do not mount up, do not cast, just click the paper and stand quietly beside the NPC.

If the quest hangs at all, just relog and then you can continue

If quest doesn't work, abandon and retake quest.
Also, when you go near him, do not do anything else, just stay and click the transparent sheets.

For anyone else having issues with being pulled into combat and the quest not working - I was wearing the Shadowed Essence trinket, when I took it off I had no issues even with people in combat nearby,

In front of the commander, in the direction of the fire, translucent sheets of paper appear floating.
You have to take these, then they are read out and burned.
Then comes the next thing.
The leaves can be seen in the form of three monitors in front of the base.

I tried everything suggested to get this to work and nothing fixed it until I turned off my "chosen form" visage ability so that I was just in plain dracthyr form. Worth a try if you can't get this done otherwise on your evoker.

Moving does affect the progress of the quest - so stay still whilst reading the book.

After accepting Burning Reflections you will head too coordinates 39.52, 37.38 where you will find Baron Sybaestan Braunpyke standing in front of a large lit caldron. Interacting with him will give you five choices of text.

(Quest) <You pat Sybaestan's shoulder awkwardly.>
(Quest)<You nod solemnly to Sybaestan in silence.>
(Quest)<You Engulf Sybaestan in a huge hug.>
(Quest)<You stand ready to help. Shuffling your feet awkwardly.>
(Quest)<You quietly tell Sybaestan you are ready whenever he is.>

The choice you pick does not matter however what you will find if you are not looking is little gold box's that BLEND in to the burning caldron.

Please note

If you find that when you click one and another does not appear you can wait a little in hopes it will spawn or drop the quest and try again.

To complete this quest you must click on 3 pieces of paper one at a time. The are in front of and to the bottom of the base of the flame. They are hard to see as they are basically the same color as the base of the fire and you can sort of see through them.

The trick is, apart from what ppl already mentioned (don't move, etc) is not to enter combat.

There are a few monks behind the place that will engage in combat with you, even if they are very far away, and the quest will insta "stop".

If that happens, kill everything, fly away and then fly back to start again.

Don't need to logout.

If nothing happens for an extended period of time, try relogging.

If it's bugged, abandon the quest and take it again. When you click on the golden paper just stand and wait. You will progress after some lines of speech.

Druids: you can't do this while shape-shifted. Approach in normal form.

Description

Sybaestan could use your support now. His little brother was his best friend. Only death could separate them... and it has. He is not taking it well. It is customary to burn written memories of the deceased. By committing them to the flames, we let go our heartache and let the warmth of memory heal us. It is a bittersweet time. You were with Theleon at the end, too. That might help Sybaestan.
