Abandoned Veilstaff spawn in random locations around Korthia.
After interact with this item will appear the rare Ve'rayn.
Answer the dialogs to begin the fight.
Ve'rayn rewards: Ve'rayn's Head / Ve'rayn's Head.

Please take note Abandoned Veilstaff can despawn.

My guildmate had his despawned infront of him while trying to gather people who needed Ve'rayn after camping for hours. RIP

By far the worst Korthia rare.
4 spawn spots.
Can despawn.
No zone wide spawn alert.
Low hp.
Bad loot.

This really needs to be fixed so that one @#$%^&* can't just run up, grab the staff, and run away, thereby completely negating the rare spawn.

And yeah, I've seen people do this. Multiple times. (I hope just out of ignorance of what the staff is/how the rare works, but who knows.)

The Abandoned Veilstaff is one of the harder events to come across for me. It is rarely called out and although it can spawn in multiple locations, I never seem to be near it when the rare comes up! However, I have gotten lucky a few times now and been able to experience it at slower times (middle of the night or super early in the morning).

As of right now, if the staff is up at multiple locations then whichever location clicks it first ends up with the rare. They are constantly making changes, though, so this might change any day. I'm also not able to be in multiple locations at once, so I am only assuming based on general chat that the staff spawns in multiple locations at the same time.

If you are lucky enough to click on it, you have to answer the questions to start the encounter. Watch out for the hard hitting ability. Ve'rayn's Head has only ever dropped on the very first time I've looted. I think it might be a 100% chance on the first loot to get it. The group I was with and all of my alts have gotten it all on the first loot, and I am NOT that lucky on a normal basis.... or ever....

seems to be at least partially immune to sunfire, the dot component rarely applies.
