I am so psyched for this. I am essentially the target demographic they were aiming to satisfy. Just need to get ahold of it this weekend and hope iit lives up to my expectations.
I am thoroughly impressed by the sheer amount of extremely detailed, high-quality guides you guys have put online in the past few days. Your hard work is much appreciated: we get a really good head start by not running around like blind mice when a new patch hits live.Thank you!
Endless past wave 12-ish seems ridiculous o_oMan it is tightly tuned.
I'm a MW Monk, trying out the healing challenge, but I'm noticing my Renewing Mists aren't travelling to all the targets in the group? It jumps properly between the tank, myself, and ONE dps, but when I cast again, it doesn't jump between the two dps without it, when it should? Does anyone know if this is intended?
Resto Druid here. Has anyone else had the problem with "Force of Nature"? When I cast my Treants they die immediately before they cast any heals or roots. They are a very integral part of my healing rotation, so it is making getting through Gold nearly impossible for me.Any word from Blizz on this?
My biggest concern about the healer challenge is that I've made it past waves 10 and 20 many times but NEVER have I been able to drink. The last mob from wave 10 dies about 10 seconds into wave 11 and the last mob from wave 20 dies about 10 seconds into wave 21. Because of this I can't maintain mana for long enough to get to/past wave 30.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
At least one of the NPCs in this can have Symbiosis used on them. I used it on Sikari the Mistweaver while doing the tanking one yesterday, and got the monk dodge ability.
There is nothing overwhelming until you actually get or complete gold, the mechanics are brought in one by one and it simply shows how far you can get.
Just did endless 30 as guardian in about 3 or 4 attempts total. My suggestions playstyle/talent wise:Take typhoon and Ursol's vortex. Perhaps the best way to complete several waves is through kiting. Example in the 2 waves (2,12,22,etc.) there are a bunch of little adds that apply a stacking bleed. You dont want it stacking too high, so the first time you want to drop it pop ursol's vortex on them and run away. Second time pop typhoon and stampeding roar. These sorts of tactics are strong even against the waves that just have a few high tank damage mobs. If you don't have a cooldown up on certain waves (i.e the ones with 3 mantid.) and you are just letting the mobs hit you, you're gonna have a bad time. Though if you keep kiting them through vortex, typhoon, and stampeding roar your damage taken will be minimal, and the monk will dps the mobs down over time and keep you topped off since the damage is reasonable. Just remember to still have aggro on everything. (Also remember to get the healthstones at the start, the pull where I succeeded in the 30+ achieve (Ended on wave 37) I didn't have any and there are several moments where I wished I had some.
I had gotten to wave 28 on my warrior so far, multiple tries. Keep testing out different strategies and running around, I am damned and determined to get this title on Maskil (Thorium Brotherhood), spent a good amount of repairs so far. This is one of the most fun I have had this expansion so far since the Codex of Xerrath Questline, except now I can do it on my warrior, and instead of having Chaos fire, I will have a title disputing any claims to my tanking ability, bragging rights included etc etc.I hope blizzard does not tune this down, keep the bar high, make us work for it and bring on the new content!
I've also gone through the guide this weekend and fixed a few typos with the various waves, as well as added some more spell info to the bestiary section.
I completely agree. It's not exactly a comfortable setting for players to thoroughly learn new roles or become confident in their skills...Perhaps to reinforce confidence they already know existed. I had a helluva time with Bronze DMG as an enhancement shaman and basically gave up after a few tries.
"allow new players to learn a new role in a comfortable setting" (!) Haha, cmon guys, for new players if they alive up to 90 levels this arena is extremaly hard so, don't think so it's for new players. It's only for pro. After one day tries I've got 10th wave for gold DPS and always loose on 64-240k HP on final boss. Doing everything about talents, glyphs changes and some experiments with rotation. It's really, really hard. It can be done but serius, you give too low time for some things. If you want leave it on this rules just give us possiblity to one-time use potions, healers have a chance to take some mana, dps-ers some seconds with buff, etc. It will be fair becouse potions we use on normal fights, raids and any other events. Why not here? Trust me, this part of patch can be done not so fast too, but it will be possilble on normal and fair rules.
