Rotun won't give me anything higher than bronze, no matter how many times I complete the trial. What gives?EDIT: Yes, he says "Success! Well done. See me for your next trial." after I complete it, so I know I'm doing it correctly, but then when I talk to him, he still only offers bronze.
Has anyone else tried to do these at a lower level?I have a level 48 druid who is leveling as guardian, and I could not tank the bronze at ALL.The problem wasn't damage, I hardly took any damage, it was that the healer was doing so much damage that I couldn't keep mobs off her except by growling. Thrash plus mangle plus maul would get *one* mob off, but then it would go back to her before maul and mangle were off cooldown, and spammed thrash/lacerate weren't enough. I have some heirloom gear that is designed for threat and I *always* top the damage charts when I tank classic dungeons with similar level characters. I never lose threat unless I miss something. Even trigger happy target focused dps don't outthreat my thrash spam. Yet in this bronze trial, with waves, there was literally no hope of keepign more than one or two mobs off her -- it became a dps race to kill all but one mob before they could kill her, which I got through until the second to last wave, which just had too many mobs for me to do it.I checked skada and saw that sikari the mistweaver was credited with doing 24k dps for the whole trial. Now, I could keep up with that threatwise at level 85-90, maybe even 80 with good gear, but for sure not at level 48.Is this just not tuned properly for lower levels?
Has the illusionary conqueror's had their giant frontal slam cast time reduced? I'm struggling to move out of it just before he cast it. I can get to 10 waves, pretty easily. But one mistake with that slam and it's pretty much over. It feels like slams cast time is much shorter compared to pandaria's.
Currently there is a bug that takes away the lock cookie after starting the endless healer trial. So if you fail at endless and one of the NPCs ask you if you forgot to heal yourself, just tell her that Blizz forgot to fix their game so bottoming out your health from chomp in trial 29 is just one of Blizzards many masteries..
@jerioke Nor will you be awarded any achievements if you pass bronze. Those were turned into FoS with WoD.@Afterwalker Level 90 trials were removed, and their related achievements made into Feats of Strength with the release of Warlords of Draenor. In order to progress, you'll have to get to 100 and join the proving grounds via the Mission NPC at your garrison. @Gnomeofzurich Proving Grounds were originally intended for level 90 players, and now level 100. I believe, if you actually talk to Rotun at the Temple of the White Tiger, you'll get the original level 90 one, but it won't let you progress past bronze.
i wish i could figure out how to get my guardian druid through the silver lvl proving grounds, i just cant seem to get past lvl 3 i wish i could do this in a group to get it done
There are unfortunately no achivement for getting to endless 40+, i just got to wave 45 and no cookie.
I am a hunter, and I can't get past the third trial, what am I doing wrong?
Why do we have to endlessly repeat the waves we have already survived. Seems to me that having to replay stuff we have already mastered is basically a time suck and rather than provide "practice" for later rounds it discourages players from working on techniques that would prove beneficial in the later rounds.
im a hunter with beast mastery i cant get threw it o.o,,, an i need the damm thing.. grumbles
Made wave 38 first attempt as resto druid, probably would have gotten further but I screwed up a bit. The healer guide on this is solid and helped a lot. If you're a resto druid, innervate + rejuv on everyone + wg + flourish + EoG is actually more powerful than tranq but takes at least like 2-3 seconds to set up and the damage in wave 8 especially spikes almost immediately, so if you want to do that (and you should, it's amazing), start on it like a second before the round starts. Obviously make sure you have lifebloom and CW up on the tank before you start your routine, so like 4-5 seconds before the wave starts. For even better effect, once you've finished that combo, throw up tranq if the damage is still super heavy. Wave 8 is a breeze doing that and the main reason I failed on 38 was that I started my innervate routine a second or two too late and the damage spiked too early.Don't neglect to deal damage when there's nothing to heal, but don't overdo it when there's still the potential for spikes. The main sources of spike damage are the conquerors (on the tank when they enlarge), the singers (on the group), and the flamecallers (on random members, but this usually fades fast once the positioning is sorted out), so as long as those aren't currently a problem, you can usually dps a bit and let your passive healing do the job as needed. Don't forget dispels, prioritize melee like the guide says and if you get one on you, you can just move away from people and let it expire usually.
You might include where the proving grounds are and how to get there, for new folks joining the community. We've had it for 8 years now and when this content was live everyone knew where to go and how to get there. Now that we're in Shadowlands, not too many folks spend time in the expansion.
