"Do you guys still not have phones?"
I think it's more likely they will move into the mobile market. This is 3 reasons: Firstly mobile games are easy and quick to make, which means game turn around is months rather than years. Second, they can monetise the wazhoo out of them and thus increase revenues. Thirdly, China is hot on mobile games and it's a market Blizzard is willing sacrifice everything to get into. While I don't see them cutting back on making PC/console based games I do foresee less development and less content while they shift to mobile. And, tbh, most of this appears to be happening.
I'm looking forward to mobile games from Blizzard. When I'm on the PC, there are things I'd rather be doing than playing Hearthstone but it's been great to have on my phone for when I'm riding in the car or waiting in line somewhere. Same goes for Diablo, I like the games well enough but there are other PC games I'd rather play.
I prefer that blizzard games be on pc and console. Everyone knows mobile games make less money than pc and console games. Trust me.
I sure hope not, mobile gaming is cancer.
I don't think the internet can handle the !@#$storm if Blizz decided to announce another Mobile game.
People can kick and scream about mobile all they want, but it’s still the highest grossing gaming market out there. Blizzard would be stupid to ignore the market. I would expect many more titles than just Diablo immortal. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to play it, but to bash the company for making mobile games just shows a lack of understanding towards to market. Personally hoping for some more Diablo immortal info, and a Starcraft title
I'm actually very open to mobile games that interact with the actual world of warcraft. It has always been on my wishlist to either have a class or guild hall feature that we could build out over our phone that remains relevant over the course of the wow lifecycle. I'd like mobile pet battles if the rewards are decent. Pet battles could be fun over mobile (I very much enjoy pokemon go). It would be nice to have access to some sort of guild housing via mobile, which I know is sort of frowned upon since WOD's garrisons. A basic structure would just be access to guild chat with the convenience abilities we currently get(bank, fast hearth, etc). Once a certain milestone is achieved there should be further upgrades available (racial flavor, things that begin to impact professions/make them interesting again). Things to strive for would be some game-changers. If you build your guild bank structure, you should get access to more tabs. The WOD Colosseum could be fun if it was based in the guild area and had decent rewards. A battle pet area where you could train and trade with guildies that is a bit more lenient than normal restrictions allow. Have personal storage upgrades (not bags) be tied to the guild area. Have the mission table be built out where you can play mobile games for each mission and get greater than the standard reward, but keep the standard reward after the regular timer for those who can't take the time to play the mission. There is a whole bunch developers could do with it. But in general:
I will take a Pokemon Go style pet battle/collect game, give them some competition because right now, they do not have any. If that's all they do, then i am totally on board
Wow companion app handling missions from WoD up to Current.Mobile AH and pvp pet battle.Furthermore mobile is here to stay and grow especially in China and India (containing half the world population)About being cheap, I just build a fairly decent gaming pc for less than latest Iphone xx or Samsung S##, inclusive two 27" 2560x1440 monitorsI admit not very portable but great to play and lookup wowhead on second ;)And I can repair or upgrade it myself.I personally hate touchscreen and it hates me. So I keep using my mouse and keyboard.
Hey, I don't play real games on the phone, but I wish them well? Just indifferent to the whole industry honestly.
With what happened with Diablo, I hope they give players mobile related games that make sense and aren't just the next installment for that franchise. I don't play Diablo, but if Blizz made it so it could be a mobile and PC game would be neat, choice-wise.If WoW had a mobile game, it should be for some of the casual parts of the game, like pet battles or fishing.
I do love Pepe GO like the thumbnail.
Mobile games are for kids who can't afford a PC I guess, because why would I play on such small screen?I have no problem with Blizzard doing that, just a problem with them taking time from Blizzcon to announce them. Add a 3rd day if you wish to add stuff, don't cut the pc game panels.
Yeah Overwatch 2 is a Mobil game!@Spotnick Some mobile phones cost more than peoples PC.And kids do not pay for their phones, parents pay for the kids phone, yeah i know you can be 100 years old and your "kids" are 80, but when i refer to kids its not that age at least. And your argument is really week, you say that it must be kids that plays mobile games, because YOU do not want to play on small screen? And then you write you do not h ave any problem with that, even that you right after state that that you do not want Blizzcon to be about games if its announced for Mobile? Not sure if you know this, Blizzcon is not just for stuff YOU like, its announce ment for every thing that THEY want the world to know about, so why should they not do that then? And they are not taking stuff away from YOU, spoiled kid, oh wait "you dont have phone?" must not be kid then whoops!
