Rated solo shuffle is stupid af... they can't even get randoms sorted correctly. I wish ppl would stop listening to loudmouths... they arent the voice of the majority. They're just loud.
Ngl, I love the idea of the Drakthyr first going out of the Dragon Isles to learn about swords, shields, bows and such to actually become warriors, hunters and other classes at a later time.I talked about it with a friend of mine yesterday and was actually kind of convinced that they will approach it this way. Now seeing Ion actually confirming that, makes me happy for not only for other players, but also for the community. Who knows, maybe they will learn, but lets keep our distance for now. But for in my opinion, it looks pretty neat so far. Like the approach of it. Good job for this one Blizz *clap*.
Looks promising..

The number 1 problem with wow is anxiety. The game literally makes it's player anxious and when u stop, u feel better. This new expansion looks cool from the initial introduction BUT i want to see how it's going to do what pretty much no wow expansion has, avoid making me feel anxious all the #$%^& time. In FF there is no power behind rep grinds, ever, full stop, there are mounts, transmogs, dyes, triple triad cards, orchestration rolls, pets etc... but no power, do you them because you want to. I want to see these renouns be more like that, you do them because you want to, because the none power rewards looks cool, but certainly not because you have to, in order to progress you character's power. Contrary to popular option there isn't as much power behind professions as many none FF players seem to think, outside of the first 2 weeks of savage that gear is purely catch-up gear and while it generates a huge profit for those who can create it early, the real gold making in professions really is centered around housing and transmog, people keep saying WoW is copying FF's crafting approach, well all I have heard about the new crafting is gear, gear, gear, how strong, how big, how much, fk that, that's not the strength of FF crafting AND that is not going to be a system that goes anywhere good, mark my words, the last thing you want behind professions is extreme power, I saw that in classic, warriors grinding gold for weeks to afford their Lionheart Helm, forgivable in classic because hey, classic is classic, you should have known what you were signing up for but i don't think that's an experience many retail players are really ready for. If you want a numbers based take, well, people keep saying in WoW for professions to be relevant they have to be able to craft the best gear in the game. In FF the professions are very much relevant BUT craftable gear is 20 ilevels below the best gear in the game, only 20 ilevels above the gear the game just gives you upon finishing the msq in Endwalker and only 10 ilevels above the full set of gear you can grind out in less than 1-2 evenings doing basically any end game content, equal in ilevel to the queable "normal raid" and 10 ilevels less than the new queable "alliance raid" which while both harder then LFR is certainly not hard and is essentially FF's LFR content, So yes, it is good gear for savage raiders going into the raid, but, they will replace it all with-in 2-3 weeks.Ultimately wow guilts you into doing things, do or die, push or fall, over and over and over again. The relief when I stopped playing this game was palpable, tangible, after a few days I felt better than I had... well since I started being obsessed with wow. They need to introduce more stuff that has literally nothing, what so ever, to do with power. You say professions felt irrelevant in shadowlands, well i agree, I love fishing, in shadowlands there was a tiny variety of fish and barely any water, I hear it's better in 9.2, guess what, too late, make it good in 10.0 by making it interesting, not powerful.
Player Housing is not necessary. Sure, it will drag casuals to stick around and play the game and then add more mechanics and such but there is a lot that goes into development. I prefer "How to Train your Dragon" new concept versus something over used and brought out by several MMOs. There are so many things that need to be figured out before they even implement it. Its give and take as resources and development teams are small and working on different things. While some here wouldn't care about raiding or dungeons others do. There is no game that comes close into how much work and design into their raid and dungeon encounters. This system has been in place for 17-18 years, should that system suddenly take a horrible turn because "player housing" needed to be the focus...thats a huge fan base that would likely unsub. Again, the game has survived and kept decent number of subs throughout 18 years without Player Housing. Those aggressively saying it NEEDS to happen, it doesn't. I get it, you are upset that the game you love and failed you doesn't have a concept or feature that your alternative does. Also, if you add real money to this, there are going to be more complainers that Blizzard is charging real $$ for a good house because the house you want is 5,000,000 gold and it will go down to the "Do I pay Blizzard $100 or farm 5 Mil Gold?" All I say is, if you want to enjoy a game with player housing then looks like ESO / FF XIV are for you but housing is not essential to keep their subs. New concepts and major features that other games really don't tackle on is how they maintain or obtain new subs.
Whenever they add housing it needs to be instanced and not this whole scarcity system FFXIV employs where only the rich get a place.Swtor does it correctly. All houses are instanced so everyone can get one and they also have housing for guilds as well. So definitely need guild Halls in wow for guilds to decorate, host events, hang out, etc.
As I read more and more about the talent revamp, I think I'm becoming more comfortable with it. Also, I think it would be cool for the Dracthyr to become other classes...once their roles of Evokers have firmly been established. It's not even me being a kiss-up; it's just me learning that Forsaken became Hunters in Cataclysm or how Gnomes finally became hunters in Legion. So, I think that the Dracthyr being that influenced by their allies shouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility. On another note, I've been holding back on their feelings on player housing. I was going to mention GW2 because, they have guild halls, and ArenaNet's budget is much smaller. They can only add one per expansion, though. Still, I'm at least heartened to know the discussions still happen. I find a bit odd that nobody on the team mentioned that this came up in 2009, where somebody argued that player housing would make the towns be more deserted. (And would that really be bad, considering the state of trade chat?)One last thing: I find it funny how somebody asked about the Watcher from the trailer. I really mean funny in a good way, though.
Obvious dodge about account-wide reputation is obvious. This is all in the right direction, but JFC stop with the half measures and just let me grind everything ONCE.
