I can officially say this has changed absolutely nothing. I can still openly gank as many players as i want without dying, Just with added exercise. The added bonus is people who fight back actually die like they are supposed too. This just made it easier for gankers. ty
You should reconsider the way you fixed the issue.Apparently the issue was fixed by allowing the guards that are nearby the attacked player to be automatically aggro'ed, although this mechanic has a bug.If you polymorph this aggro'ed guard and leave combat, you will despawn that guard from the area for a while.(until it respawns) I'm pretty sure it's not intended. This NPC is supposed to be permanent to the area and not one of those the spawns due to attacks, and now we're able to despawn them without killing them.
wait a second. when I get ganked by a dude sitting on the roof of a building that the guards are ignoring, this was not intended? I feel like that is the only way I've been killed in vanilla and BC. with the exception of mind control helmet making me attack a guard.... but I think this is all along the same line of 'exploits'I will say this though, once is fine. continuously is not. pattern of this kind of behavior does need to be dealt with in some way, though this 'fix' feels like its not addressing the real problem. perhaps there just aren't tools to effectively prevent this kind of toxic behavior
A non-blizzlike hotfix for vanilla which was brought about by a lot of whiners.... typical for blizzard to sacrifice the game over a few complaints rather than wait and let them learn the harsh truth of how vanilla was meant to be...Furthermore.... Terms of Service doesnt say anything about game mechanics....Is it against ToS to stand in front of onyxia and buff up ? will onyxias aggro range be buffed so she will run towards the raid with the guards once they enter the raid ? This is just a rediculous hotfix...Man this makes me think of the intelligence behind last years blizzcon "diablo immortal"....The ToS at most would affect people who jump up on objects where npc's cannot reach.... however to stretch it to include aggro range & line of sight.... that is just retarded....------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------@BlizzardIf you intended to solve a problem, then give goblins grenades which they throw when a player jumps up on rootops or boxes to avoid attack range....Very easy solution to think up really... and what more the ability exists... simply take the grenade ability from black wing lair goblins and make them throw it only when lacking a path for more than 2-3 sec.I honestly wonder what simpletons blizzard hires... to claim falsely use the ToS in an attempt to make their choice sound like players broke rules and they where just fixing things....
