This is a great change. Only change, I hope they do is lower the cost of the upgrades a bit or remove some of the upgrade levels and this system will great. The addition of the 226 level upgrades is a bit controversial, because it devalues raids, but they can add that further down the road. If they did add a 226 upgrade level it would need to be somewhere around all dungeons around 20-22, to make it almost raid equivalent.
Bruh istg if i see a blue post in 5 minutes saying "valor cap has been reverted to 1500" ima cry and just unsub D:
I really don't get it why are they making it similar to conquest literally this is used for upgrades while conquest is used to buy GEAR, Honor is used for upgrades in PvP and is infinitely farmable as long as u don't go over the 15000 cap. Valor is looking like a few upgrades in first week with maybe an upgrade or 2 a week following that? Thats not fair, does not make sense and works against what we wanted this system for.
Please God be intended.
This would be really nice, no need to gamble upgrading something to get what you were working towards in your vault week after. Can stockpile and get it upgraded all one shot. Nothing major, but less RNG now with no cap. Of course, this is fun and you know Blizzard policy on that - they enjoy their RNG. Let's hope this is intended.
Wow. This makes the valor system incredibly better. I'm surprised Blizzard actually started respecting their players time and effort.
It still has a cap of 1500 listed in game database.Tooltip could be wrong or cap in game db is wrong or cap is overridden when "use total earned as max quantity" flag is used. The latter is most likely and that would mean there's indeed no cap on how much Valor you can hold at time.
Now they just need to make it worth to upgrade lower ilvl items instead of saving for 210s because of the cost difference, and the system might actually see some use (especially considering next season where we start at 750 total cap). Why not make it so you can mark an item to scale with your keystone achievement level and automatically upgrade when you reach a new milestone? Just make the cost 3-4x current single level upgrade cost.
They listened to TOMRUS
now just let it upgrade pre-patch items. it took me 18 timed Mist to get the trinket with a group of a balance loot spec guard tank and a resto shaman, who both didnt needed it. just got it this weekend. will be fun to go again for it this many times.
Nice this solves the single biggest problem with the system. (If everything is as it seems.)
If this 6 week speculate is correct, maybe this means that 9.1 will come on end of april?
Valor is just bad all round, it's like a combination of conquest and honour but you still need RNG to use it.
Better, but the costs are still way too high. Why do PvPers get to upgrade their gear with farmable Honor points and only need to spend timegated currency on acquisition, but M+ have timegated currency for every single tier?It takes nearly twice the Valor to upgrade an item from 210 -> 220 than it costs PvPers to buy their base item in conquest.Just make it a carbon-clone - Conquest & Honor is a great system; so why not Valor & Justice where Valor spends allows base items to become upgraded, and Justice is a farmable PvE currency purely for rank ups.
Still way too far from good enough if this even their intent.
The trick is to only upgrade items you intend to keep. Like an item with your best stats or a trinket. Don’t just go upgrading everything Willy Nilly. You need to be cleverer than that.If you haven’t got an item worth upgrading, then just stockpile till you do.Hopefully the inventory cap goes away, as it forces you to spend it on items you don’t want to upgrade, and seems to go against the intention of the system.Inventory cap should only be used on more farmable currencies to prevent stockpiling. But there is a limit to how much Valor you can obtain anyway.
