The change we need is to make raid skips account wide. Not the quests so you could cheese the progress by running it 4x in one week but just once you have it done on one character then you have the skip unlocked and can't get the quest on any other characters. Don't give items or meaningful rewards from the quests anymore, just the skip. This would be really nice if it could be implemented retroactively too because having to run each raid 4 or 8 times on every alt is bananas.
This isn't a lot different than what is currently on live. I was with a full quest log on one of my alts so I abandoned an account battle quest and tried to get the quest I wanted again which failed. I tried abandoning one of the story quests (like the pre-argus magni ones) and it again failed. So not sure how much is actually changed from live.
That daily quest effect is obnoxious.
What they also could improve upon is the forced acception of quests.Like for example the Invasion main quest you automatically get when you enter the zone.Or the medic quests you can not decline to accept but which you have to abandon,Or regional quest like that sailor one in Azuna, you fly over the zone, you get the quest in your log. With Legion I canceled way too many quests that were forced into my questlog.
That's better than nothing I guess, but Blizzard's obsession with the 25 quests limits really makes no sense to me whatsoever. Also for a game with such limited quest log space the fact that they force you to accept any number of useless quests (like Invasions or the drowned sailors in Azuna) without giving you the option to refuse is really bad design. You have to accept then abandon the quest every single time.... I just don't get Blizzard's logic in all this.
Dungeon / raid / profession quests shouldn't count towards the limit either.
Such a simple change...so much joy.Just that shiny effect above the NPC will be a tad bit annoying.
This is a very welcome change.
The 25 limit hurts the game - I won't explore any side quests or other things because my log is full with stuff I need there. It's totally silly that they limit what I explore in the game due to just quest log size. And this change does nothing for me, I don't do pet battles or other annoying stuff like that anyway - I run out of room doing normal quests.
I remember this being in patch notes years ago, how is this news?
So basically nothing has changed and this post and story about it are pointless?
Would also be nice if I didn't have to have an addon to see how many quests are currently in my quest log. I was so confused when I was unable to find this information when I resubbed during Legion after leaving midway through MoP. I thought battle pet quests already didn't count towards the amount of quests you have? I believe I had 27/25 quests at one time a few months back. Maybe because I picked them up on another character?
No need for an addon, a simple macro is displaying the number of quests in the log right now:/run local numEntries, numQuests = GetNumQuestLogEntries() print(numQuests .. " quests in quest log.");Would be nice though if for example TitanPanel had this added to the built-in functions.
No sure which expansion it changed, but the quest number use to display in the quest log in the upper right corner. Would be nice to have that back.
What was wrong with the blue exclamation marks? The new effect looks weird and has nothing to do with the other familiar quest symbols...
Easier to spot them? It's fine with the standard ? or ! symbol. No need to add some stupid glowing bs for blind people.
Blizzard are simply stupid for not just increasing the max limit of quests you can have. They say it's too confusing for players. Bull%^&*. What's confusing is not being able to pick up several quests because you have no room for them and then trying to remember where they were.
