Better late than never xD
In the Halls of Titans is more interesting in my opinion.
To start off, I am loving Dragonflight. However, the Titans are and have always been the least interesting and compelling aspect of Wow lore for me, and one that they seem to insist in doubling down in with every expansion, even after the enormous backlash against them (The first ones, big robots etc) with Shadowlands. They are for me, a symbol of over-explaining that seems to dilute the character and flavour of the game which is at its best when it’s not trying to explain life, death and creation.
It's Renown level 11; It'll just boost you to 12 after you complete it. Otherwise, it's not a bad recap.
Prediction: the disk containing Tyr's backup will be revealed to have been sent by the Infinites to the Black Empire timeline. We'll probably find out too late that the disk was corrupted by the Old Gods and the Tyr that reawakens is but a twisted version of the original. This Tyr would be the one to turn Nozdormu against his will into Murozond and be a future raid boss in an Infinite Dragonflight raid.
In b4 Old Gods
Gotta wonder if this is getting us remotely closer to accessing Zereth Ordus.
I liked this story, but it does feel a bit "superhero" again, Like Tyr is some sort of cosmic batman who always has a plan even if he dies. Almost certainly it is foreshadowing a "what could go wrong? oh that" situation, whatever it is. Remember in ZM, the new Arbiter shell was almost hijacked by the dreadlords with Argus, then we counter hijacked it with some random Kyrian soul we picked up on a street corner along the way. Whatever ends up piloting that suit ain't gonna be Tyr.
Honestly, I found the story a bit underwhelming. Tyr’s sacrifice has always been a big part of WoW lore and randomly bringing him back after 10,000 years just because undermines all that.
its still so weird (and extremely bad storytelling) that titan keeps can "change their size"?you're trying to tell me the MASSIVE arm that landed in... tyr's fall (tirisfal) was able to be changed at will and he wasnt actually this massive figure?didn't tyr literally lose that hand/arm trying to fight galakrond?i just dont get it. i really dont. maybe it'll be explained more in the halls of titans stuff. but tyr's involvement in this stuff is honestly giga annoying. i agree with the person who called him batman. this guy had a contingence for everything? ok lol
