I really hope this post shed some lights and blizzard starting balancing this whole system, the fights need some balancing, specially as Kleia
I have Ember Court almost entirely done on one character, likewise Abominable Stitching on another, and the Conservatory on another.Path is 100% the absolute worst of all of them. It just objectively *sucks*.
The sad thing is someone at Blizzard said.. "this activity will be fun." and some body actually agreed with them... Just shows nobody developing the game plays it with any seriousness.
I mean, it's clear that the covenant feature designers did not really talk to each other. I haven't done much with Night Fae, but it's much, much easier to get everything from Necrolord than Venythr. From start to finish I think all of the Abomination Factory stuff took 6 weeks? Including the Achievements.I've been doing the Ember Court since week 1 of Shadowlands and I am still not Best Friends with 3 guests. And ended up just buying any cross-covenant items from the Abomination Factory instead of waiting for RNG on the Court. Oh yeah that's right - once you hit rep levels with Abom Factory you can just buy whatever you want with Anima!
I spent hours to farm the anima to get the PoA to max rank to discover the horror of it, I gave up after unlocking the weapon mogs when I realized it was just too much on top for so little.
The guide pretty much described me.I think I ended up beating the first four and was like screw this, if I wanted this kind of a headache, I'd raid, lol.If they ever fix it / make it less ridiculous which I doubt, I might revisit it.But for now, it just collects dust.It is unfortunate though, I really did want to enjoy it, lol.
After the first quest to go in and fight I haven't had any desire to try anything else with this. I don't enjoy the vehicle game part of it and after reading how complicated parts of it are I don't see myself trying it again.
Done it once and sadly I need to do it 3 more times..
Maybe because I only returned to the game two month ago, I don't seem to have this issue with surplus mana.Though, I recommend Blizz allowing people to see Anima items on AH just like the mana crystals from Legion.
Appreciate the highlight on this, I stopped cause Mad Mortimer fight really pissed me off.
I won't bother doing these until Blizzard fixes and nerfs them.
I don't know wether to laugh or cry about the fact that I'm one of the 0.075% of players that have done that achievement (all of the achievements) on my main, and then I had to switch covenant because Blizzard couldn't balance anything. XD/laughcryP.S. Also did all the Humility fights again, at least once, on my alt. ;-]
One issue you did not touch upon in this article is that with the default UI, the Path is hardly playable, which is probably a big reason why the participation number is so low. The default vehicule UI does not correctly let you track buffs/debuffs without actively targeting your soulbind which is quite a pain in any non-trivial fight.
Post is most certainly readable in 5 minutes or less if you skim past the parts you already know.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything above. I am only wondering why after so much community feedback NOTHING has been done to fix the bugs and nothing has been done to ease the abrsurd difficulty. Considering the rewards are mediocre nobody is bothering with it.
