On my first Kara run with my Rogue, then saddled with an entirely unbecoming Alterac Ram (which looks silly with a human riding it), I won the Fiery Warhorse's Reins from Attumen, which up to that point I had never even seen drop. It felt like I'd upgraded from an Edsel to a Ferrari :)

the drop epic drop i was most happy about was when i got pauldrons of the forgotten protector to obtain tier6 shoulders just a few weeks before wotlk came out, it sure did look awesome along with some other black temple and mount hyjal gear and it totally completed the awesome looks with season3 and 4 arena gear :)
With my hunter I had the heroic stingray bow from Steamvault (which looks really lame and I hated it every minute) so I was real excited to get the Sunfury Bow from Kara, but I had to run that place for like 4 months before it dropped. I was real happy because it looked real sexy.
Hmm i guess my most recent epic item was the Blue Proto Drake from Utgarde Pinacle, we wiped 2 times while doing it and on the 3rd run we decided to pull the whole lot at once and oddly enough we got an acomplishment + the drake for it, i was so surprised, I didnt even realise that the item dropped, nor that there was an achievement for it :P
I totally remember my most epic loot. I had gotten the Foror's Compendium of Dragonslaying. I was really excited about this as an up and coming protection warrior. I was in an iffy guild at the time, that didn't quite have Onyxia totally on farm status but, it was close. So I went in with the guild as a protection warrior, using my little Typhoon (Haha) trying to do as much damage as possible. Now, as I'm sure everyone remembers the strategy for Onyxia at the time was to split the raid into two groups along the back wall. Well, before the raid I had spoken to the main tank about dropping the sword so Onyxia could breathe on it, making sure I knew what I had to do. He explained it to me, told me that when I right clicked on the sword that there will be targeting icon on the ground for where I want to throw the sword. (Kind of like Blizzard, Flamestrike or some other kind of AoE effect)Since I wasn't much use as damage and definitely couldn't tank the boss, they just had me stand in one of the two groups and just use my xbow to do slow DPS. I didn't mind, I was going to get my sword. So, we get Onyxia down to low health and the tank calls for me to drop my sword in front of her so that she can breathe on it. So I stay in my little group and right click my sword, fully expecting a target on the ground. Except I realize that there's no target, it just dropped the sword where I stood. Well, at this point I panicked, thinking I wasn't to get my Quel'serrar that week. So I scream over vent that the sword dropped my feet and there was no target. Now, I'm not sure what our main tank was thinking but he decided it was worth it to turn Onyxia towards half of our raid so that she could breathe on the sword. Then of course, when she breathed on the sword, she breathed on half of our raid which killed them all wiping our raid. Now, it wouldn't have been so bad if it had stopped at that. But, we were going for another try. Somehow I talked them into letting me hearth, go to Dire Maul and reget my sword for the quest so that I could try dropping it again. I got summoned back and was extremely happy and confident that I wouldn't have any more problems. This fight I decided that I could DPS along with the melee DPS. So I took out my Typhoon and started the fight trying to do some damage. See, my main was a mage and I never had the rules of melee'ing Onyxia explained to me. Apparently, she does a tail whip that can knock you around the room if you stand behind her. So of course, where do I stand?..I stand behind her, of course! Just so that I can get knocked senseless by her tail. Not only did she send me flying, but I landed perfectly into the whelp cages which released a ton of whelps onto the raid. Too much for our mages to handle so, the raid gets overwhelmed and we wipe. By now, I feel pretty crummy, wiping the raid twice. After that, I did absolutely nothing in the raid and finally did it right. By the end of the night I had gotten my Quel'serrar! Although, it sure was an embarrassing night and a good lesson in humility. I will probably never forget that night.
Definitely Swift Zulian Tiger!
Most epic thing that happend to me was that my brother started world of warcraft again... it made me so happy it was better then any loot i could have gotten
The most epic loot i have ever gotten has to be the Warglaive of Azzinoth.I remember that day where i was walking around stormwind on my rogue, amazed at the 70's and what they looked like.. I came across a rogue with the twin blades and i knew i had to get them. Sadly i was only level 37 at the time. I looked up where to get them and realized it was a low drop from the Black Temple. I had no idea what that was at the time and thought "Oh sounds easy enough, ill be 70 and should be able to kill everything." I later realized that was wrong. I started talking to the rogue with the blades and he informed me about everything i did not realize. I had no clue i would have to be in a "powerful guild". Heck i hardly knew what a guild was. That did not hinder me from wanting them tho. The rogue said he could get me in his "guild" and should eventually be able to run Black Temple.I started to power level and within a couple months i reached 70. I was excited. I thought i was going to be able to jump straight into Black Temple. I was wrong. I worked my way up to until i reached Tier 5. I remember my first Black Temple run, I was extremely nervous. There was another rogue in the raid but I didn't realize at the time I would probably be rolling for the blades against him. We reached Illidan and was informed on how the fight went ect. When he was looted I couldn't look. I looked on the screen and saw Warglaive of Azzinoth. I was shaking extravagantly. Master Looter was on of course and asked us rogues to roll. I then started asking to myself "What if he wins?", "Will I ever see it drop again?". I rolled first, rolling a 22. My heart felt like it was about to come out of my chest. I waited for the other rogue to roll which seemed like a life time. I couldn't look, I was standing up, jumping around. I looked at the roll, he rolled a 17! I started screaming and who knows what else. I finally did it. My dream had come true.I now realize how lucky I was to see the warglaive drop not only on my first run, but win the roll with a 22. I will never replace my Warglaive of Azzinoth.
There was a better time... the good ol' days of WoW. I remember when I just first started and got to 60, those were simpler times. The night I dinged 60 my guild was running BWL. They were short 1 dps (? I know right?) and they needed me. We pushed our way through Razorgore and eventually reached Vaelastrasz. We had never seen a Dragonfang Blade drop before and this was the week our main rogue was gone. We killed Vael and guess what dropped.... the Dragonfang Blade. I felt bad for the rogue, but I also felt an inner joy. That is definitely my most epic drop.
The most epic piece of loot I received was from one of my very first PvE raids ever which was Molten Core. The piece of epic loot that I received was Felheart Horns. The beginning of what would become a lot of raiding.
