Hallow's End, 2008.Dear Journal,It had been a long and busy day, what with the Headless Horseman having come to town. The days were spent with putting fires out. And the nights were spent with.. Well, a little more fireman duty. Being a volunteer firefighter during Hallow's End sure puts you at your wits end. But, the Horseman's fires were put out time and time again.I hadn't yet reached the point where I would be able to head to the source and, with the help of my friends, bring the fight to the Headless Horseman himself. I was determined to end the pyromaniac's antics once and for all. And my determination was what was going to get me out of the frying pan and into the fire, so to speak.Upon reaching what the Masked Matron thought worthy enough to tackle the Headless beast, she set me on my way to the Scarlet Monastary in the land of Tirisfal Glades. I had been there many times on my adventures, for myself or for others. So the trek was nothing new for me.With my group in tow, we beat back the Scarlet Crusaders trying to hold us back from their ancient and sacred lands, but they could not defeat those on a sacred mission themselves. We eventually entered into the section of the monastary devoted to holding those who had passed and we saw the Horseman's altar. Each of us snatched up a candle, and one of us placed it within the mound of dirty behind the altar. The Horseman bellowed at us a cry for battle, charging forth from the depths. The fight was long and difficult, but He Without A Head eventually fell. And, how it stayed on during the fight I'll never know, his helmet rolled from the burning corpse. And stopped at my feet. The day had been won, and I had a trophy of proof for having defeated the Headless Horseman. The helmet he used in place of his very own head.
Yesterday, from the dailies, I got a bear mount. That was great to see
ok well, i literally just did heroic oculous with a great group.. my first heroic after dinging 80 today and got "Cuffs of Winged Levitation" which totally rock!
Back in the day I got a Blackblade of Shahram when it was one of the rarest items in the game. It was my first epic, truly awesome weapon...not too pretty though.
I remember the first time my guild ran BRD, back when an "Emp Run" meant a very, VERY long day. We were a bunch of poorly geared (greens and half of dungeon set numero uno) 60's so it was a sluggish run, but we were determined to get to that Emperor. I remember that first time we set foot in The Lyceum...We couldn't believe how many mobs were in there! Conventional pulling wasn't working in here, much to our surprise. So all out chaos ensued. By the time we finally got through it and realized about the flame-keepers, we were ready to call it a night. We endured it a little further till we finally downed Thaurissan...and bam, Ironfoe popped up on screen to roll. We definitely felt that was a proper reward for our unrelenting assault on BRD, seeing all of it's bosses and exploring all of the city in one run. =)
My favorite loot has got to be from us beating the new Cull Strat in under 25 mins and getting the Bronze Drake. I fly around in circles sometimes just to see it :PMounts rule ^^
for Benediction/Anathema:I Had my Eye of the Shadow and had completed the Quest Event using a Spectral Essence to see dead people. I raided Molten Core for months and the always the leaf dropped. The eye of divinity dropped for another priest but i lost on DKP. After saving a crazy amount of DKP it finally dropped from Majordomo's chest and I surprised my guild by combining the Splinter of Nordrassil, the Eye of Divinity, and the Eye of Shadow right then and there before we went to down Ragnaros.
