Alright, this isn't so much about loot I got, but loot that slipped right through my fingers. Back in the way, way old days, when Onyxia was the bomb, and Tier 2 was swanky.. My guild have been religiously farming it. Never, never did a Bloodfang helm drop. Our multitude of rogues got very, very irate--and eventually, slowly started playing other characters.About three months of farming, and many false hopes.. LO AND BEHOLD, THE LOOT GODS SMILE UPON US LOWLY MELEE DPS! BLOODFANG HELM! WEE!And even better: I am one of two rogues. Our guild, too lazy for DKP, declared the roll-off.My competition rolls a 2!CLEARLY, VICTORY IS MINE!....And I roll a 1. Argh.
I will always remember my first EPIC trip to Undercity playing Horde side :)Just started playing WOW back then, was trying to level a tauren shammy and a quest told me to go Undercity. Woohoo!I didn't know many places yet (Orgrimmar, The Barrens and Mulgore) since I only just started playing the game few days back.Ok there I sat at the Barrens, looking at my questlog and thought hmmm how I gonna get there. After some searching on the net I found out it was on the other big island Eastern Kingdoms in Azeroth, somewhere in the north. Now the main problem was I heard about mighty zeppelin towers but never saw one, little did I know where they were.So I thought how hard can it be to take a journey to Undercity walking, and on that early tuesday morning I went for it.I decided to fly to Ratchet cause that was the only way I knew to reach the other side of Azeroth by taking the boat there. Once there I openend my map and saw I was all the way to the south of Eastern Kingdoms so I had to make up my mind how to reach north. It didn't take long to find out STV was a bit high level for me so I decided to go for a swim around the island (west side) and try to climb up the land whenever I saw a posibility. Some time passed and I still didn't find an opening in the big rocky mountains, so I kept swimming north and north tryin to find a gap every now and then with no luck.About halfway I thought what have I done there's nowhere a friendly place to reach land and I can hardly swim back (didn't know how hearthstones worked yet).So I kept swimming and swimming like a maniac till 2 and a half hours later I reached the zone Silverpine Forest. There I managed to go on land and after a bit running around was lucky to find The Sepulcher, a horde base which had a roadsign to Undercity. The moment I saw Undercity's mighty walls I couldn't believe my eyes and was I so happy I didn't give up my swimming marathon, after 3 hours of swimming around the continent I made it.THAT moment was just EPIC!
perdis blade on my druid!
The best Epic item for me was, pre BC, when my wife farmed for quite a long time without my knowledge to get the gold for me to be able to buy epic mount training. I know that kind of gold is common today, but if you remember the times before BC, you'll know it took a long time to amass it. For the huge rush of having the mount and the tender, sweet feelings behind it, that is by far and large my most epic memory.
I think my most epic look is actually a blue BoP hat. In my guild I've always been an avid fisherman. Being the only on in my guild to actively fish and do those fishing dailies. I'm such an avid fisherman that I try to enter and win that tournament each weak to improve my fishing skill. But, sadly work doesn't allow me to enter anymore.Anyway, back to the loot. I really wanted a fishing outfit and after religiously doing the fishing daily, I'd keep the bag on me for hours after turning int he quest. I'd fill it with "positive mojo" so that when I right clicked it a hat would come out. Weeks of doing this got me nothing. One day I was talking about it on vent and didn't pay attention when I was relocating the container to my "Fishing Mojo spot" and right clicked it. I got the "Are you sure?" prompt and literally freaked out on vent. I started yelling and screaming and my guildies started to panic and then I was like, "I got the hat! HAHA" and wore it that raid until we reached a boss :P.Weather-Beaten Fishing HatNearly a month and I use that hat on a daily basis. It's proved to be worth more than t6.

I have found a few back in the days,I pvp alot and that bear mount would be awsome!
It was years ago, while I played my priest called Mystix in Stormscale server, and after months of waiting I got my dear Halo of Transcendence hat. Aww I felt awesome :)
The MOST Epic and useful item I have ever received so far is the Defender of the Timbermaw . It took me weeks of farming, back when the rep gain was much lower. Many of my friends told me I was wasting time and the trinket was not worth it, but I kept farming untill I got it.To prove to them it was a great investment: I ran heroic sethekk Halls the second day I hit level 70 on my enhancement shammy. We cleared it and were on the boss fight against Anzu. Our tank died and Anzu was so close to being down, one by one the rest of the party followed suit, but I popped my Defender of the Timbermaw, and with 5% health left, I finished him off! It was my first time ever pwning Anzu, and he dropped the Reins of the Raven Lord, and it is all thanks to my farming for the Defender of the Timbermaw Trinket. :-) It was a TOTAL Epic moment.
