There I was, leading the reef bull to his waiting mistress by dangling fish before his nose, when I felt a rustling in my sack. Confused, I lifted the flap on my explorer's knapsack and noticed my cracked egg jostling my leg wildly. To the delight of the bull, I dropped the fish, but it let loose a wild "HURR HURR HURR" as a green proto-drake exploded out of my bag, catching me up as it flapped upwards into the sky.
okay last try lol. back when i played my hunter i got the baron mount of baron on my first ever run on dead strat! one of my best wow memories
I would say the most "epic" loot I ever received was my first ever random epic drop. I got an epic drop the first few months WoW was ever out and got this over in The Hinterlands: http://www.cuckhead.com/?item=870The Fiery War Axe! I was so excited too.
The most epic drop I ever got was Dark Blessing. Me and a group of RL and online friends were unguilded, in guilds that didn't do much, or could never seem to get into the same raids together. There were about 6 or 7 of us and only 2 or 3 had T4+ (one had T6, the priest) and we were all really good at our classes so we decided to try and pug ZA, a raid only the T6 priest had done but the rest of us wanted to try. I had just recently hit 70 on my druid (resto since 68, so I was fairly new to it, but was having fun with it) and I had horrible healing gear but I was pretty confident in my healing abilities and we had a T6 Holy priest so we thought we might have a chance. Well to make a long story a little shorter, we blew through the instance and 1 shot every single boss (including Zul'Jin and excluding Hexlord, which I never thought we'd get past because we were wiping so much, an epic moment itself). We did so much better than we all expected and it felt so great. I had maybe 1200 healing when I started the run but after that night I hit about 1600 healing, I got real good loot love that run and the Dark Blessing was the biggest upgrade... and it's not really even a druid item!We tried again for the timed event because we had one shot every boss before, when we weren't trying to race the clock, and we did really great again, but could only make it to the 4th chest. We had a goal to get ourselves the bear mount. We started running it regularly and always had to pug the last 3 members (we only needed 2 more DPS 1 tank). We would always get so close but usually and funnily enough, one of the pugs would always be our downfall. Soon enough people were begging to get in our groups (especially the T6 guild, they all wanted their Warbears and we were getting further than them, LOL!) Me and the 4 RL friends from the group would hang out all the time and ZA would get brought up and then we'd all get excited and rush home to play but eventually we all got busy with life and never did get our Amani War Bears, but we still remember and reminisce about our epic first ZA run and get excited for what epic pugs wotlk has in store for us.
My favorite "epic" loot had to be getting the non-epic but just as awesome Chuck from a Bag of Fishing Treasures after months of fishing dailies.
would have to be the time that me and my dad tried to solo hogger at lv 8, we both almost died, then a passing by druid one shoted him and then busted in to travel from.
