back during the headless horseman event i ran the HH 167 times in the 2 weeks it was around... I actually had every single item by the end of it xD yes even the coveted horseman's mount.
The most epic item received would be getting the arakoa trinket. Come on blizzard, shorten the cooldown so I can peddle my wares as a birdman
I remember the first time my guild downed King Maulgar. We had been trying to take him down for a few weeks, but something always went wrong and we ended up wiping, when we finally killed him, the Vetn channel jsut wnet into an uproar of victory cries, it was amazing. I didn't recieve anythign from him but I didn't care. A couple of days later, we took down Gruul. Another epic moment, but not quite the same as takign down Maulgar for that first time.
Its not exactly a drop, but my most epic item moment came from winning a comic contest online, Tyrael's Hilt. I got it back in August and there hasn't been a day yet that I haven't had him out.I've collected over 60 non-combat pets and Mini Tyrael is still the crown of my collection, and will most likely continue to be until I eventually quit WoW.
the most epic thing i think in the game isn't really an item but was the warlock quest remember was wicked awsome
When I was leveling up my first-ever character, a human rogue, I was questing near the coast in Feralas when I killed a water elemental and a Bloodrazor dropped. The epic rogue sword with an awesome proc, with dps much higher than the weapons I was using. I was so excited and told all my in-game friends. I should have sold it to a twink, probably, but I didn't know what a twink was, so I put it on immediately (it matched my Vanquisher's Sword) and felt like the coolest rogue in the world. While I went on to get drenched in BT purples at level 70 and now working on it at 80, I still have it in my bank and to this day it's the most excited I've ever got when getting an epic. The other greatest epic? My first 100% speed mount. I grinded BGs for days to get the pvp horse to save a little bit of gold, and while that probably wasn't very healthy, I was so happy when I got it. Me and my black war stallion are still together to this day.
