This is a separate issue, but we're working on it, have no fear. :)
EDIT: Check this http://www.cuckhead.com/blog=145057.2#p2084462 as I've been able to solve this issue !Still not working for me even after several updates. I've even tried to delete the keychain credentials but all I get is an "Authentication failed" log message. If I click on the "Upload..." button after that I get "Invalid Wowhead credentials".2010.05.27 09:20:21 AM: Authentication failed.2010.05.27 09:20:21 AM: Checking for Updates…2010.05.27 09:20:22 AM: Looks like you're up to date!2010.05.27 09:20:28 AM: Checking for supported realms…2010.05.27 09:20:28 AM: Found valid realm: us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com2010.05.27 09:20:28 AM: ----------Using account <REMOVED>2010.05.27 09:20:28 AM: Nothing to upload to the server2010.05.27 09:20:28 AM: Authentication failed.2010.05.27 09:20:45 AM: Invalid Wowhead credentialsAny ideas ?
Ok, so I figured out how to solve my issue. This is what I've done:
Is anyone else still having this problem with their client? I am.Short of a complete reinstall of Warcraft I have done...Removal of wowhead-clientRemoval of .plist fileRemoval of +wowhead addonRemoval of WTF folderRemoval of Cache filesRemoval of Keychain entriesChecked all permissionsNo firewalls activeDownload the wowhead-client from the link (1.1.1)Update the wowhead-client (1.2.1)Launch Warcraft with wowhead-clientLogin in on character Typed /wl collectTyped /wl mounts (to be sure it was getting data)Quit WoWAnd still yet to get past this:2010.07.12 06:46:01 PM: Authentication succeeded.2010.07.12 06:46:01 PM: Checking for Updates…2010.07.12 06:46:01 PM: Looks like you're up to date!2010.07.12 06:47:12 PM: Checking for supported realms…2010.07.12 06:47:12 PM: Found valid realm: us.logon.worldofwarcraft.comAfter this last entry, the client behaves as if it had just been started. No error messages, hangs, or crashes. The buttons behave as they were designed (except for the operation of Upload)I have even set permissions to allow anyone to read/write to wowhead-client and World of Warcraft and all subfolders and .app subpackages and have also placed WoW folder and wowhead-client in my home folder; I still get the same results.Oh and I am using OS X 10.6.4
We're trading emails with the guy who originally developed our OS X Client, so we'll see how well we can get this figured out. =/
Well... whatever you did, if anything, worked! All the data is showing up correctly this time around with a successful upload.
Try deleting the looter and downloading a new copy. We're having a bit of trouble with the automatic updates, so you may just have an old version. If not, let us know.
Here same thing as always happens, after the "found valid realm" message, nothing more happens.Have tried all the trixs I know :(
See above. Have you downloaded a new copy of the Client from our download page?
Yes, the version there is ver 1.1, and then I start it it ask if it shoud be ubgradet to 1.2.1
Well that's odd, but if it's updating properly it should work—works fine for me. Even after updating, it still gives you trouble?
Yup, if I don`t upgrade, it refuse to work at all.
Sorry, I wasn't clear—does it work if you DO upgrade?
I am having the same issue as everyone above.* Tried wowhead looter in Applications and World of Warcraft directories* Removed, downloaded 1.1 and upgraded* Still just halts on:2010.07.22 12:39:49 PM: Authentication succeeded.2010.07.22 12:39:51 PM: Checking for supported realms…2010.07.22 12:39:51 PM: Found valid realm: us.logon.worldofwarcraft.comNothing more. Each time I want to update my quest information, I am having to go over to my PC in other room, login and upload using Windows client and then continue. Was even thinking of installing the Windows client on my Mac using Parallels to see if that would work.
I uninstalled everything and got the message "nothing to upload".But unfortunately on subsequent executions, no go...I've also checked to make sure wowhead had group read - which it did.To clean up tried the good 'ol Unix terminal way (Been a Unix kid for 20 years so wouldn't have it any other way)1. Open terminal2. Changed into dirctory of application:--> cd "/Applications/World of Warcraft"3. Found anything related to Wowhead and removed those directories--> find . | grep -i wowhead--> cd ./Interface/AddOns--- rm -r +Wowhead_Looter---> find . -name "*Wowhead_Looter.lu*" -exec rm {} \;4. Downloaded client fresh (1.1)5. Re-allowed keychain entry6. Installed update with install and relaunch7. No go :(
I can't get this to happen on my own OS X machine. The Client is 1.2.1? What version of OS X are you using?
Wowheadclient 1.2.1 here and OSx 10.6.4
Same thing I've got. Okay, I'll see what I can figure out.
