Why were there additions to blood elves but not to void elves? shouldn't that be just a copy-paste? ....same with Lightforged draenei
The number of people who think class balance devs are the same devs who create hairstyles is astounding.
The blacklash is justified, Pandaren got basically nothing with customization nor did they have their neck seams fixed (female). If they're willing to put 10 times the effort into one race, such as humans for example, they need to be willing to show the rest of us the same treatment, the game needs more customization at the end of the day.
I'm all for new customization but I don't like how (from what I've seen myself) so much of the "new" things people propose is just porting human/elf hairstyles or other features to other races.
The sheer egotistical, self-entitled, and childish behavior by this section of the community is horrifying.Worse still is the outright lying that is happening in the comment section:No, they haven't stopped making more character customization options just focusing on other aspects of the game for now; yes, the art team is focused on the first major patch with new models from as little as props to as large as entire zones. No, this wasn't the only time Blizzard added character customization options in the game's lifetime; The Burning Crusade added Draenei and Shamans to the Alliance and Blood Elves and Paladins to the Horde, Wrath of the Lich King added Death Knights, Cataclysm expanded the race/class combinations, added Worgen to the Alliance and Goblins to the Horde, and added new hairstyles to most existing races, Mists of Pandaria added Pandaren - the first neutral race - and Monks, Warlords of Draenor updated all of the race models (except Worgen, Goblin, and Pandaren) and added more customization options to them, Legion added Demon Hunters, and Battle for Azeroth added 10 total Allied Races across its lifespan and gave male Orcs an upright option. In short: EVERY expansion added character customization options, not just Shadowlands. No, whining on third party websites and/or throwing temper tantrums everywhere and anywhere you can is not the same as posting feedback. No, it isn't easy to add more customization options into a game whose engine wasn't designed for it nor should it be outsourced. No, you don't get to demand things from the developers just because you pay a monthly subscription (and some of you don't because you pay through in-game gold anyways); you are paying for a service that Blizzard is providing. If you don't like the service, stop paying - or at the VERY least, post actual feedback. No, World of Warcraft isn't a glorified collection game; the focus is on gameplay and endgame content as it has been for every expansion since The Burning Crusade. No, you don't need "all the" character customization options to put the RPG back in MMORPG; just have an imagination. Players roleplayed as races that still are not playable back in Vanilla but now it seems this portion of the community lacks functioning brain cells to think beyond what they initially see. How do you roleplay in tabletop games where your miniature's appearance (if you even have a miniature) doesn't EXACTLY line up with what you envision your character to look like?Post constructive feedback on the official forums of options you would want to see added, be civil, and give the developers time to react. They do not have infinite resources nor infinite time to do whatever the playerbase whats whenever they want. Look at how long it took the team behind the Wandering Ancient (that was already planned out) to make the mount (and they took the community's artwork as a basis for it)! Now, go outside and get some fresh air. And maybe a tissue for your eyes.
give Blizzard a break, everyone seems to forgot that Covid-19 was a thing in 2020 and still today.. The entire blizz dev staff are working from home, etc, so much like even my job (amazon), things are much slower paced than pre-covid, and an organizational nightmare for teams/leads/management. For anyone else working during covid, i'm sure you know the stark difference between pre-covid and post-covid, how your workload has significantly slowed down and how difficult it has become for leadership to keep things moving at any decent or fast pace.
cry me a river... give me more dungeons and better loot mechanics and balance classes please, i dont need more feathers and crap, that I can't even see, because im zoomed out playing the game. I'm not having cybersex in some tavern outside of stormwind.
Everyone hurt by this or who has a modest request customization that is in the game or could be easily added needs to just damn quit. And stay gone until it's in the game. All the forum posts and ideas given by the players that were just taken for granted some were older than 2 years in suggestion, completely ignored.Go on sub strike. Burn blizzard hard on this. Cause they are never gonna learn unless they get slapped hard. They said they aren't gonna do customizations during the entirety of Shadowlands. I say great, let us all quit until Shadowlands is over. And then we can wait another year during the post expansion misery. 2-3 years?I bet Blizzard will double down after that and do their carrot on a stick routine. Then we should doubledown again and just still refuse to come back when they still haven't gotten any skins in the game. And then when they finally add skins they will probably use the monkey paw. So we won't get exactly what we asked for and it will be some disgusting design flaw. Lets double down even further And just tack on an extra year after just in case they add in any rep requirements or grinding. And hopefully by that time we just forget this spiteful dev team and game even exist.MY TAKE.
I can understand the backlash. They mentioned that the reason they were able to make the Wandering Ancient mount was because the art team was ahead of schedule. Why not supplement the races that had fewer options instead?
The popularity of dressing up your cat girl in FFXIV alone should be telling how much people love customization. Even with SL changes WoW in this regard is far beyond. We even saw a lot of stuff on Beta, which never appeared in the game (belf customization is the best example I think)... Sometimes the community is right after all.
Can’t say I’m all that bothered to be honest. Was massively let down by the pittance Blood Elves got, I don’t expect them to provide anything of worth.
gnomes would love cool scars and tattoos as well please
