Can't wait to level my alts in no time!
Yes so now it means these guys will get Draenor flying+mount for something like 1000 gold,gj blizz. And maybe do nazja and mecha for part 2.Legion part 2 sux to begin with.
i know there are some people who get up in arms with people not being required to suffer like they did through the Pathfinder stuff but I'm for it. It's not fun, none of them felt rewarding to get (though I loved finding all the Draenor treasures on my own) And it just seems silly (my opinion mind you) that suddenly I can't ride my flying mount because I didn't make friends with all these people? At least Northrend made slight sense.... "It's cold here, I will teach you how not to freeze to death in the sky" and I don't mind a small gold barrier... but I strongly dislike the pathfinding multi-part super achievement to fly. I hope that won't be so in Shadowlands.
Also, what many people are not understanding, is that those who already have Pathfinder can fly at the beginning of these expansions now. These include the newly-low level areas like Frostfire/Shadowmoon, Azsuna/Val'sharah/Highmountain/Stormheim, and Kul Tiras/Zandalar. I have done all of these on foot, and have earned flying for all of these zones. Now when I go to these places, I have to wait until a new arbitrary restriction, to tell me why my mounts don't know how to fly. I guess I'll just take every character to Vashj'ir now until 30, since there's no flying required there, and you get to swim around on a seahorse mount as if you're flying. We can also add to the required flying, if you haven't done the questline to open the doors of Vale of Eternal Blossoms, you will need to fly over the wall to get in. Granted, that's the last zone in Pandaria, not including Thundering Isle, Isle of Giants, or Timeless Isle, but would still require flying in that specific situation.Which leads me to a question... has anyone been able to see if there are any updates yet, in regards to max-level expansion zones? Will they be scaled with the rest of the expansion, or are they going to be locked to level 50? I prefer the former, but suspect the latter.
My only thought is for Pathfinder. I think it should be kept differentiated from each other via "pathfinder" for the achievement and "flight master's license" for when it's purchased; as to not take away from those of us who have EARNED THAT &%!#.
when the alpha is better than retaiil
Wow! Really thank You for this! As a casual player I'm really happy to know that you guys are implementing this in Shadowlands.
People complaining that all their stuff wasn't worth the effort, that's just ridiculous. I mean you only had years to fly in those areas. It's not like Pathfinder got added to WoD after Pandaria launched, right? Or that you could only fly in Legion after you already did your first zone in BFA. You were doing those feats to get flying in the expansion you were playing at that time, and that was really worth it. But to have them the same for new players is, honestly, kinda stupid. Especially with how leveling is in retail right now.At the moment you do the first one and a half zone in WoD, before being high enough to progress to Pandaria, were you are nearly done after finishing the Jade Forest, so you can move on to the next expansion. For stuff like that you don't need flying anyway, new players as well as veterans. And it feels super stupid. You dip your toe into the content, just to jump back out and try another thing. And having tied flying to earning reputation with every faction of an expansion, when you only see one or maybe two of them, is pretty dumb to begin with. But for the running content it is pretty reasonable, as you get to see every faction and interact with them all, traveling all around the area.I'd agree with the motion, that Pathfinder shouldn't be as easy as "pay a bit of gold to get flying", but it shouldn't be as ridiculous as "grind for a month in content that doesn't give you anything valuable anymore". Doing the loremaster achievement should be enough for older content. Maybe not for Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, as that would require some serious effort. But going through the main quests of Pandaria one time, before being able to fly with every following character in the same expansion? That's reasonable. You got to experience every main thing the same way the 'veterans' had experienced them, so that is okay. But without senseless grind in outdated content. They just need to make some adjustments, like the often mentioned starting quest for Pandaria, flying up to an airship. Or giving some shortcuts for quests that require flying right now. But just looking at WotLk: Rent a mount is already a thing in the game. It shouldn't be too hard to implement that in other parts of the game, outside of northrend.
Yall quit whining who cares its a video game. If you chose to put the time in to grind the pathfinders than good for you but don't go yelling at everyone else just because they don't have to do that ridiculous grind anymore. And yes I unlocked all the pathfinders too just like all of you and you don't see me getting butthurt.
Not sure what was wrong with older pathfinders,at least it made people to play the game content.Sad to see this switch.
