A lot of people complaining about the changes are likely people who have not leveled a new toon in at least a year anyway. The changes are good for the health of the game and as Blizzard has pointed out it's only between level 1-60 that these experience changes are substantial. In the end it is not very enjoyable to consider the likelihood of a new dwarf heading off to outland at the end of wetlands or arathi due to previous exp scaling.I really encourage people to play a new toon to at least level 40 on the PTR (Or when live hits) It feels really good to level at the moment through questing, something I couldn't say before.
Oh I am so happy with all that! ^^
OMG! this is awesome, blizzard more moRE.... MORE of this! leveling should be challenging and should take time, it should be an adventure, not a SPEED run...Like in vanilla, leveling was part of the game and it was fun and interesting, this will bring so many new players into the game, since it will be fun to level.AWESOME WORK... BLIZZARD, This will make me level up so many new charcters WITH FRIENDS, since levling will be fun and take time.
Correct.
I'm not seeing that much of a downside aside from those players that wanna get to end game as quickly as possible.Y'know what the best part about this? With Dungeons scaled there will be more selections instead of those moments where you get like only one dungeon and it's the one nobody likes, or that level 55-59 area where it's just Blackrock Downs and Blackrock Spire to get to 60. NOW YOU CAN DO DEADMINES AT 57. THAT...IS....MIND BLOWING.This is probably the best decision ever made for the game, even better than raids adjusting to group size.
Remove the xp gain from loom gear too đŸ˜‰
I really misunderstood these scaling changes. It seemed that they were making the scaling go backward as well, so that, say, a fresh new level 10 undead could run straight to Western Plaguelands and begin questing there as well. If this is all they're doing, I am FAR less excited about these changes. I personally find the 1-60 leveling experience to be the worst, and I've tried questing without heirlooms and even Ironman challenges but it wasn't enough to keep me invested. The low level Cata-revamp zones become super grating after a few runs through, while some of the higher level ones I feel like I barely see at all.Really hope this is expanded on. Doing Northern Barrens/Azshara/Silverpine/Westfall/Darkshore for the thirtieth time is far from an appealing idea.
I love those changes. Can't wait to level a new character on live!
What about the flight master license? Is that still needed?
I would really like to level in open world, not in dungeon, but leveling in dungeons is usually so much faster it's not even a choice... so any change which brings those more inline is welcome :)how about at least reducing the XP from the dungeon itself? so most XP is from their quests and repeatable dungeon runs would be less profitable
I am really disapointed in blizzard about the hp buff and xp nerf. they were supposed to make leveling fun again with scaling but then they added the xp nerf and hp buff to mobs and nerfing of the heirlooms, which made it super boring and makes me wanna buy leveling boosts on all characters because leveling on ptr is so boring now. one example of this is how the q mobs for The Air Stands Still takes 10 times longer to kill on ptr than they did back in wrath. they added scaling which was supposed to make leveling more fun again but then in usual blizzard style they added something else that removed the fun created by another thing they added.
Thanks for this changes, i stop leveling because i oneshot everything with my hunter or paladin...
Looks like this will make leveling the new races much more fun.
