okay, this is epic
Crappy tower missed opportunity on torghast itself they never learn they always throw these sort of things under the buss. As for rewards from this tower... just wtf.
Violet hold 3.0
I'm not sure if the tower is under tuned, or Hunter powers are overtuned, but I smashed all 8 layers at 250 ilvl. Literally one shot the final boss of layer 8. I really hope its challenging like twisting corridors was when it first came out, because as it is on the PTR its a mindless chore with literally no effort required
So basically what Torghast should have been at launch.
i have heard a lot from people that the first few bosses are the hardest and after that you have all the best anima powers that it is easy hopefully they can balance it to make it feel like a challenge and make you feel happy when you complete a layer and get a reward but not make it feel too overturned and silly. But overall good changes sounds like something cool (if balanced right) but should have been like this from the start.
This is exactly what Torghast should have been from the start. With interesting bosses. Not a trashsimulator with bosses that melee you hard and cast something once in a while.
I get having a death limit, and I understand you need a mechanic to enforce it. Thats all fine. I just don't get why is the (now dead) Tarragrue the thing enforcing it? I guess its just an early PTR thing, carried over from 9.0 death mechanic. (nit picky I know)
I tried this multiple times on the PTR with mage, hunter and lock and IT'S FRICKING GOOD. This is what I wanted from Torghast since the beginning, and the fact that it's so fun and gives very good rewards it's all I asked for real. Really hoping they don't mess this up before 9.2 launch as they did with original Torghast back in the alpha/beta.
Nice, a new hs toy!
Sooo, we kill the Tarragrue and Eye of the Jailer which removed them from Torghast and the Maw respectively but Tarragrue is... just back now?
Contrary to some of the complaints, what we killed was A tarragrue, not THE tarragrue. A prime example is the Blackwater Behemoth in the Eternal Palace. While the adventure journal description uses "the", later on, namely in the Queen Azshara fight itself, the waters outside the fight area are teeming with multiple blackwater behemoths (plural), at this point Tarragrue would be more a name or title and since we killed off the one that bothered us in the original iterations of Torghast, it wouldn't be too out of the question that another took its place, especially since Torghast as a lore location still kinda is the Jailer's...well....jail. Also, if you do Torghast post raid release, there are a couple of floor configurations that have a lot of passageways gated off. Behind these are, what else, but a tarragrue, something that shouldn't otherwise be there if THE tarragrue was moved to the Sanctum of Domination.
Death-Bound Shards hopefully not capped to a daily/weekly lockout.
Cool thanks
It's a decent idea to skip the trash, but for me the core issue of Torghast is that the Anima Powers just suck for my class. Not interested until they fix that.
Judging by the comments, it seems the trash is the most hated part of Torghast for some people. That's interesting because the trash is the most enjoyable part for me. Maybe that's why I like the current Torghast so much.
Hopefully we will be given at least two choices when we are offered anima powers. Some of those epic anima powers have detrimental effects that I have no desire to play around.
Floor 4 isn't a double boss floor. It is a Rare Floor, as all of the elites you face are the rares you would normally see in the main Torghast wings.
