besides, this site is basically a database, and all data is ALWAYS stored in the head.Unless you can somehow store data in your thumbs O_o
I think it's pretty funny you guys picked up on Torhead vs. Swhead/Swtorhead--we actually were going to go with the latter, but Torhead just SOUNDS better so we ultimately made that move. I like Torhead, more memorable and it looks way better in print for some reason =)As for other head sites, that's really all about the quality of the MMOs that come out and how much we love them. We wanted to do one for RIFT--hence our rifthead joke--but there simply wasn't enough time as it was too soon into Cata and we had so many projects. We take the -head suffix really seriously so while we did an awesome RIFT database, it simply wasn't the same UI nor the exact same quality so we didn't name it that. Since then, though, we have hired more people and the WoW expansion was rounding out so it was easier to spare some resources!
SWTOR is the new Rift eh? It was pretty obvious that you guys wanted to do a Rifthead site, you pushed the game so much on here it was incredible. Please don't do the same with Star Wars.

Love this. My girlfriend is making me play SWTOR and this will make it much better for me. She suggested that you should have called it "hoodie" since people are calling SWTOR "sweater". lol, I think that's a good idea.
While it is nice to believe some people will have both a WoW and a TOR subscription up, the truth of the matter is a vast majority of people wont. They will have to choose and have one or the other.I will continue to play TOR as long as the beta lasts and if they have a free trial period. I cannot afford nor have the time for both subs. I'm sticking with WoW because i got the 1 yr signup so i could get a copy of diablo3 and beta for MoP (which i am excited about).EDIT: I noticed there are no forums for torhead, or am i missing the way to get there?
Nice to see wowhead taking the initiative here by starting up the new database and tools. Unfortunately I cannot buy The Old Republic as much as I am a Star Wars fan because of how much I despise EA and I simply cannot trust them to handle an MMO alongside Bioware. I know that most if not all of us are familiar with EA's unacceptable behaviour towards their customers and how far they are willing to go on milking a franchise down to its last penny. Star Wars: The Old Republic has given EA an opportunity which I have no doubt they will seize with both hands and I am hoping that they will not perform that action at the expense of their customer's entitlement to a product free of the countless mistakes that Blizzard made with World of Warcraft. I wish the people at ZAM (correct me if they did not make the site) good luck with the new website and people who are subscribing to the game a fair and fun experience for their $15. I for one am going to wait until Guild Wars 2 arrives.May the greatest of all our World of Warcraft experiences and fond memories of the game's excellent times such as Ulduar, never be forgotten. :)
We have no forums because we haven't finished them to the point we would like. We have about 20 features (awesome ones) in development. Forums we hope will be live, in a limited way (feedback forum) this week, with more coming in the next couple weeks. We want to try to make sure features are as bug free and content-complete as possible when we launch them. That obviously will not mean they WILL be bug free, just that we are testing and tweaking them as much as we can internally without ramping up development time to an insane amount.
I'm so happy you guys are doing this. I love wowhead and was wondering what sites would step up to this. Thanks guys and can't wait to partake in the new community.
