It does have an impact on me, being surrounded by people who demand to play the game how they, as people who have never designed a game to be a game, want it to be played. The average person in question here is very selfish and would enjoy the game just fine (for a while at least) if they were given max item level gear just for logging in. I, however, like my games to still have game elements to them, and just because I've been around playing it for 15 years doesn't mean that I am not willing to let the game company make interesting decisions. Do they sometimes make short-sighted ones? Yes. Do they sometimes do things for the sake of internal metrics? Yes. And that bothers me. But this particular decision feels like an interesting creative one, and I want to see the covenants individually balanced well enough that we see variety as a natural course of events. It's a shame that so many people who play are addicted to min-maxing and yet not invested enough to make any of these decisions for themselves. The internet and its information pooling has somewhat ruined personalized choice. Or maybe it's e-Sports like the MDI...
Shadowlands will suck thx to the covenants system mark my word
Whats funny is the amount of info coming from casuals on the beta that the system is awful.
Way too easy, coming back to covenant should take at least a week. If they want covenant choice to be a meaningful choice (regardless of covenant abilities) this needs to be a much longer process
This is horrible. Stop this gating and let us change covenants anytime anywhere!
