Don't toy with my heart like that. Don't give me hope, Duncan
Oh goodness no. If there's to be more Warcraft movies, please just let the Blizzard art department make extended cutscenes as an entirely digitally produced film. >.<
The movie was so bad, yet so wonderful at the same time, and I would have gleefully been in line to watch any sequels.
YES!WE NEED MORE MOVIES!and TV series! bring them on! I did go 6 times to watch the movie in the cinemas to suppor this! more more more more more! SUPER HYPED!
Sooo the movies would have jumped from Warcraft I to Warcraft III? But Warcraft II is my favorite and has my favorite characters in it! D:
"I have no idea, and no one i worked with on the film even works at Blizzard anymore." I think that says more that Activision Blizzard actually wants. How many people around lore are already gone from Blizzard? Because it explains a lot. And i don't trying to make false conspiracy theory. But changes in lore for few years are brutal and....i don't know. Is there someone who actually like what happening in story? Because i don't hear many good feedback since Legion. They just puting new unlore skins to races without explanation. Sylvanas ..even when i still like this character is some sort of supernatural cloud and next expansion is about us "invicible heroes" (yes, we are all invicible in new lore) that changing afterlife. I don't really have good feeling with Blizzard for last few months. And every change they make...it's worse.
This would have been an interesting alternative take on the lore of events that I would have been really interested in seeing. I am fine that its not keeping with main universe of events but that's okay, I would rather something different than something I already know, an alternate universe if you will :D
Yeah no. He already ruined the butchered the heck out of the lore in Warcraft 1. His promise to let people who don't know WoW and make it where they understand it completely fell flat. You don't play WoW you have no freaking idea what is going on.Not only that, his useless change to make Dalaran floating and then bring a Tauren to completely altar the story is just stupid and dumb. You throw everything but Thrall under the bus. The Legion. The Plague. The Lich King and no closure for any of the character at the end of the movie .I will never watch another film by him unless it is something he doesn't completely change. The series of movies and his idea need to burn in the flame of Teldrassil. Because he is one of the worst writers/directors I have ever seen.
He was a horrible Director ngl.
I loved the movie, was it perfect? Nope. Still loved it. :) It was obvious to me from the beginning that the US reaction would mean there would never be any sequels though. I had hoped that HBO would pick it up. There is so much lore, so many amazing characters, so much unbelievably beautiful scenery that a high budget series could make sooo many seasons before even getting close to the current content. But I dream lmao
Let's just get HBO to make a series with the real lore.
Honestly? I would love to see sequels. I enjoyed the first movie, even if the lore was butchered. I thought the CGI was really good, and the characters were awesome, especially Medivh & Khadgar. Both were pretty accurate which made me happy! Seeing a movie based on Lord of the Clans, Rise of the Lich King, etc., I would go and see, even if the lore wasn't spot-on. To me, it was all about seeing Azeroth in the big screen that filled me with glee! I understand if people didn't like the film, though!
movies wasnt bad and it was quite entertaining to be honest, but warcraft would be better off as a series instead of a movie or even 3 movies, becuse you can not cramp in the lore in 6 hours or so.
Too many inconsistencies with the movie and warcraft lore. Llane died in SW not the DP...I mean I was kind of hanging on a bit through the film but that kind of did it for me. No need to "retell" a story that is perfectly fine the way it is, stop putting "creative spins" on #$%^ like that. I mean Warcraft isn't the only live action that has done that lately. However, the point is, tell the story that has already been told, we WANT to hear the same story but see it with live characters instead of just in a game. The man was NOT true to Warcraft lore, I can't believe Blizz gave their blessing tbh.
I love Duncan Jones like the next guy and I know he practically saved the movie from the initial horrible project into a watchable movie, but still the lore butchery at the movie was so intense, it was hurting. Now that I have learned all these, I say: Good that it didn't continue like that. For the future, I sincerely hope Blizzard will make a proper cinematic-level CGI only and (PLEASE) lore-accurate series or (a series of) movies. Otherwise, please don't! Also don't let nice and talented people like Duncan take the blame for poor Hollywood decisions. Thanks in advance! ^^
