fredtheshred said:While it does alleviate issues tied with stat scaling it does create another layer of complexity when it comes to gearing, which is very likely to once again toss the whole “if it’s higher ilvl it’s likely to be better” idea in the bin.this is incorrect “if it’s higher ilvl it’s likely to be better” it will be because it will have more Primary stats on them and this change is for secondary stats so the higher ilvl will be better.
welp... thinking of arms right now, lucid dream+tom (trait) fixed the class in bfa, corruption then made it overkill (all in my experience and opinion ofc, so please dont rage at me, if you have a different view) the haste thing was a real problem in the end, my arms sits on 81% haste unbuffed, not counting the possible met-scheming or clockwork-heart-procc, that is ofc insane, and it looks like my maghar got an epileptic-attack all the time too....where am i going with this? simple: arms was "fine" in the end, no need to fix it, there are issues with my favorite warrior-spec and im happy, that scaling wont "fix" my warrior again in shadowlands, so there actually have to be changes. i cant tell how good the changes already in place (prepatch/beta) are right now... but i kind of doubt they will sufficeso, im just hoping stuff will happen, the slow heavy-hitting freighttrain needs his comeback
I really don't understand all these crying on every change that Blizzard do.
Unless they plan on adding more systems like Corruption, why is this even a thing?
Hopefully this means i won't suffer when i see vers or mastery as much on my class that needs haste and crit.
This kind of ensures we need raidbots going forward more than ever to make sense of all the gear we have in our bags and what's better given all the possibilities. Get ready to pay a raidbots subscription to keep up with all the possibilities.
Blizzard: we want to simplify the system so that if you look at an item you'd instantly know that it's an upgrade. Also blizzard: this
PLEASE don't make gearing more complicated. I get that they don't like stat stacking but don't create a new problem.
Its a horrible change with good intentions, allowing people to gear their characters normally while expansion is fresh while as expansion matures and our gear gets better we will shift to "higher ilvl - more primary stats".Im saying "horrible change with good intentions" as i see how they want to optimize gearing process, but this again feels like they are making a band aid fix for problem that they created and which they ignore - some classes are waay due for extra work on them, creating AGAIN new problem where they are complicating gearing process without any reasons which makes websites like Raidbots more than mandatory going forward for all the gear that we will loot.In addition, as i said, if they plan to do this, Blizzard really need to revisit several classes, their core mechanics and in some cases mastery of several specs that rely on heavily stacking one secondary stats, most often Haste, or having totally pointless mastery.
please add reforging so we can balance out stats, thx -all
Ion is determined to keep us simming even with the removal of azerite traits/corruptions/essences!
Horrible, I completely understand what they are trying to do, but they are taking away something that they can just fix by understanding their own systems. Hoe ver I’m a were that I will never reach such numbers, but still frustrating to have a cap.
I'm sick of these systems.....
