can you fix the issue with twisting corridors scaling? floors 1-12 are a joke, 13 and upwards very hard
I had a layer 7 floor 16 where stuff was hitting for 2k layer 7 floor 17 stuff started hitting for 30k its wild. I feel like we are beta testing this on lice for them again.
I genuinely get amused by people consistently whining about <other class> doing it better than <my class>, NERF THEM AND BUFF ME.Just like I disagree with the nerfs, this should be HARD content. The fact I already have my Corridor Creeper and completed this on as hard as it gets, without much of an issue as a caster - just feelsbad.Removed
If you actually choose a lot of the non class anima powers, the straight damage ones, that is where most of the power comes from. Once you stack a lot of the frost damage aoes, corruption antennas, etc. you will roflstomp everything. It’s not a matter of classes with trash powers, it’s people really just making a lot of uneducated decisions. Not saying stupid or dumb or anything, just that if you watched guides before shadowlands launched, it literally tells you what the strongest powers are. And 90% are not class based ones.
40k HP sounds fun and all until your group wipes a few times and then can't get their gear repaired because they decided to kill off the vendor for a bit of phantasma on floor 3. This is seriously frustrating with a class that can't solo as easily as others. I'm not saying the content is too hard, but if you get matched with stupid, it takes a lot of the fun out of it. I'm not sure how to prevent this unless I can find people that aren't morons and want to dedicate 1h+ for a layer I guess? Still feels like deaths should punish the individuals that died a lot and not the whole party, it's not like I can replace them at all during a run that's 30 minutes in. I'd really appreciate more love for solo runners with a few better powers when alone in an instance and a vote of some sort to kill the vendor or not when in a party. Or possibly making it a bit more idiot proof for anyone who thinks that DPS is all that matters, perhaps some forced powers that prevent you from being one-shot at later floors. Being social is fun, wasting 2h because others ^&*! up and don't realize the hard scaling is not. I'd be totally fine with it if only the people get booted out of the instance that used up "their" deaths and to let others continue with approbiate scaling. That'd be fun.
I think Twisting Corridors layer 1 should be nerfed for ppl who want just do the quest solo .. i made it with my friend. frost mage and unholy dk and we lost at floor 16 ^^ now i have to do all the floors again .. that sucks. Quest-bound stuff shouldnt be so hard i mean people would still have the other layers (2-8) for challenge.
Glad to see the team back to work after the holidays. Give some love to Destro next, ya?
Running as venthyr arms warrior and MM hunter is a joke so far. Only had issue on the map with islands you get launched on, straight into 2 elites and no where to kyte for my hunter it was rude!
The issue with twisted corrider is that early bad choices/ decisons come back to haunt you later. That and when the powers start doing stupid stuff like "chance on frost damage to do X" but your a paladin, or if the anima debuffs somehow disappear randomly off bosses
Going in a 5 man with Arms Warrior and Veng DH made it incredibly easy. Veng DH does 600k DPS to all the floor mobs and the Arms Condemn prevents bosses from getting a hit in.
I was pretty worried going into layer 1 of Twisting Corridors as a 184 ilvl Frost DK after reading some of the comments on wowhead about how it scales per floor. I've also previously had some trouble with higher layers of the other wings without going Blood so I didn't have high hopes.Maybe I just got lucky on anima powers but I ended up getting a lot of the newer +damage powers and had Chains of ice hitting 5 enemies at a time and duplicating 100% of their damage taken to each other, so even by floor 17 I was melting packs of trash, and got lucky enough to get the slime boss that divides which just played into my anima powers. Didn't die a single time in the run.I'm not saying the tuning is perfect for every spec, but just wanted to share my experience of not getting my butt handed to me on a relatively under-geared character to contrast all the posts I've seen about how everything will insta-kill you at floor 14-17.
I had a lot of fun suffering through Twisted 1 as a 208 ilvl MM hunter. It was so invigorating disconnecting 3-4 times+ on various floors due to terrain glitches and the game apparently just having "too much going on" to where I disconnect after casting an ability or any number of things. Then today upon trying layer 2 and again disconnecting like 4-5 times due to more terrain glitches and who knows what else I came to realize why layer 1 was so painful. Every disconnect due to the horrid programming was wiping out all of my anima powers and souls from that floor. I lost a 2 stack of an epic anima, like 45% or more of health increase and several rare anima as well. Thanks Blizz, can't wait to do more Twisting!
