Does Elune need our help? hmm, now there is a good question as well as a whole lot of future content possibilities.
This was a fantastic cinematic that explained so much to me, yet left me with the same confusion about Elune. The side of the Winter Queen not seen before was heartening as she has always seemed so cold (pun not intended). Thanks so much for drawing us through the different aspects and meanings of this part of the storyline.
How to spoil 1 character with a couple of lines. From the mysterious, unknown, potentially-only-true powerful goddess of Azeroth - now, she is only a sister with communication issues.
This was a great analysis of a very vague cinematic. Thanks for the explanations!

So the almighty Elune is unaware about the issues inside the Shadowlands?
Yes, whatever these writers can do to wash Sylvanas' hands of all her wrong doing. She was so much better when she wasn't moustache twirling and angling for redemption.
Before Legion there was no actual evidence Elune was real. There were legends and myths and faith but seeing her reach down and save Ysera was the first time we actually saw her. Almost all of what we know about Elune was from this questline so we know almost nothing. I’m eager for more Elune lore.
Excellent review DiscordianKitty!I share many things said there and this question: "But seeing her in this state raises the question - Does Elune need our help?" Shows an interesting future possibility!I hope that from now on Act/Blizz can deliver us stories and direct the game in a good direction for all of us players!
She's being puppeted by the writers to force their Sylvanas redemption, %^&* the victims for wanting justice narrative is what's happening with her. It's a miserable, nonsensical, OOC shoehorning that cheapens her into nothing but a tool to force genocide victims down in the face of WoW Hitler and it is unforgivable.
As dumb as all this is, I can't help but take some pleasure in watching all the idiots whine about how it's "bad fanfiction" and that they don't accept any of these character developments as being canon, after everytime I complained in the past about the writers butchering Garrosh's character or some other garbage that Afrasiabi and Christie Golden spewed out, I just got told to accept it and stop winging, and that whatever the writers decide to do with the story is set in stone and we just have to deal with it like grownups and not whine. Oh sweet, sweet karma.
When i saw the promo mount for the 6 month subscription i said next expansion will be an Elune related one and what's going on right now in the main storyline is pointing that way
She just had a bad case of the Stupids like most of the major characters at this point.
Wouldn't the Arbiter deem the nelves go to Ardenweald anyway? And if she knew the arbiter was out of commission then what even did elune do but mourn a tragedy she was too late to prevent or help at that point. The whole situation feels like an attempt to tie in elune to whatever power the jailer has now ascended to. Whatever power controls the base forces of this world's universe itself it seems. Tantalizing as it is, its coming across as somewhat half baked for how long this thread has been pulled at this point. Hoping for some actual revelations in the lore soon!
Ths issue for Night Elf players that this and other high profile creators have been ignoring, is that the explaination as to why Elune did not intervene in the War of Thorns remains unkown. As pointed out by Tyrande and numerous others at the time, it seemed that all Elune did was save Malfurion and put the surviving population of Teldrassil to sleep, ignoring the prayers of her people in every other respect. From this cinematic, it seems that really is all she did. "In the wake of..." is not good enough when what we want to know wtf happened, not what happened afterwards.
