Omg he looks great for the role. hope they hire him. henry cavil and travis fimmel? would be amazing. first movie was Meh tho but i can save it :)
Oh yes, please, please!
This has to happen and it's a dream I didn't realize I had until I saw Henry Cavill in that photoshop. OMG OMG OMG. He would be PERFECT. But make sure it's done like the damn book, and not some other random crap.
Lordy yes! Best story-line, best villain, best actor to play Arthas....especially because of his devotion to the game. YES!
this needs to happen holy #$%^ i hope it does.
Henry Cavill as Arthas? It sounds great!
Lol what a horrible removed idea. The casting was bad enough for the original movie. Idk why people like Cavill. He's a removed actor and never comes off as convincing, organic, or authentic. Especially hated him in the Witcher. The show itself was boring enough but having him as lead didn't help.
I would tend to agree that Cavill is already a bit on the older side to play Arthas on his pre deathknight/lich king days. That being said nothing a bit of professional make up won't be able help with. Not sure about that de-aging tech, seemed ok for Samuel L Jackson when he played younger Fury in Captain Marvel. Also after that whole digitally removed mustache fiasco in DC's JL I wouldn't be surprised if Cavill wouldn't want any cg in his face haha!I feel like Cavill is also a bit too stoic whereas Arthas is quite an emotionally expressive person. Though I would totally trust Cavill pushing himself to capture Arthas as best as possible. I totally see him as Varian Wrynn though! He's got the physique and he can play a moody character really well! ;-) How about Sebastian Stan (winter soldier)? Probably going to get crucified for this but Robert Pattison? If people can forget about this vampire teenager flick, he's actually pretty good. He's got that inherited sadness that I feel would fit Arthas. Remember, once upon a time people use to say that John Travolta had no acting future because he was "the kid from that Grease film" then he played in Pulp Fiction... Daniel Radcliff is another good example of somebody really moving past a scaring, so to speak, role.
Henry Cavill as Arthas could probably carry the film to a box office smash by himself, but imagine if he had an A-list cast of co-stars as well. Think of someone like Gary Oldman as Uther and Emma Watson as Jaina in the film. These huge names paired with Wow's best story would be so freaking incredible! Dream big!
Cavill would EASILY pull it off, he still looks young and Arthas changed dramatically in his look at a young age getting ice white hair and pale skin.. this would fit in for a male actor well into his 40's let alone his 30's.
jesus, the crazy level of idol worship cavil gets just cause he plays PC games :/ somehow its become that any possible thought of a tv/movie adaptation of a game, can only star cavil as he's the only one "perfect" for the role -_- news flash: you could take most any young male actor and draw fanart of em as arthas, and it'd also look goodnow sure, Cavil could play a good arthas, but ppl are acting like he's the only possible actor who could do it... like wat? even seeing comments going "oh he deserves it" cause he plays wow... again, wat? do ppl really think only actors with a personal investment in something can play a role in it's adaptation? do you know what acting is? -_-also huge lol at ppl who think that just cause Cavil plays wow, he "knows the lore" xD btw, his role in Witcher show wasn't anything amazing such that another actor couldn't do as good, or better. Granted, that show suffers from a lot of issues from terrible writing and garbage dialogue to failing as a witcher adaptation in every way, but I digress
Henry Cavill is 37 years old...and looks younger.
