And I read that wrong, you are right Berndorf.
It's not that subjective; go through any zone in Outland, and count how many times the same location is used again and again; make a drinking game out of it.Then, do the same in Pandaria. You'll be blitzed a lot faster in Outland then you will be in Pandaria.
The zones do...but each zone only has so many things in it: Hellfire has the same ruins used four times, Terokkar has the same area used multiple times, the different portions of Shadowmoon are all coloured the same and if you don't look at your map, you aren't sure where exactly you. There is a lot of reused and rehashed areas there; the worse is Blades Edge, where all of the Forge Camp locations look almost exactly the same with the only difference being the mobs.
I totally agree with Adamsm here. Pandaria is by far better. Subjectivity can only dull so much criticism. Just imagine a zone with nothing but hills compared to something like Howling Fjord or Orgrimmar or Valley of Eternal Blossoms. A few people might like the rolling repetitive hills, but artistically and objectively speaking the others would be far more engaging to play in for the vast amount of players which Bliz relies upon for the game's continued existence. Outland had its moments, but its far more repetitive and empty than most zones in WoW. Pandaria flat out beats it.The primary reason I feel that people are leaving is simply the subscription price versus all the other moderate or high quality free games with better graphics and such. WoW, like it or not, is perceived as outdated, which turns off new players. Bliz simply is losing its relative monopoly in the MMO market, which is totally normal when that market has developed over a decade with so many other titles. The irony is that despite all this continued loss of numbers, it is still without doubt the most played mid to high quality MMORPG there is by a mile, unless you count Runescape as more than "low quality" in terms of content/graphics/gameplay, (the numbers were also hugely inflated thanks to bots there) Not to mention long-term players seem to be staying, judging by the amount of revenue that has stated relatively even, only going off in lulled months with little updates or progress.
