Well, recent subscription-based games haven't done well, and they can't expect WoW players, former or current, to just pick it up like they did with WoW.Someone on Polygon guessed it'd have an "up front price with a store for cosmetic purchases", to which I concur. I doubt even Titan would have a "pay to win" model. Despite all the recent rabble, that's just not Blizzard's style.Of course, that says nothing about the future of WoW as a subscription-based game, which is still going more than just "relatively" strong, nearing its 10th anniversary.
I love wow and I will keep playing it for as long as I'm alive ( maybe not as hardcore though) but seeing many sexy cosmetic things on the store makes me wonder why I'm paying 15 bucks a month for this game ! they should at least make every item in blizzard store available in game in some way or another ! so at least the player gets to choose if he/she wants to spend the time on obtaining a specific item or just buy it instantly !

Blizzard is way too busy trying to get new subscribers to worry about the faithful ones. Focus more on class balance, interesting and difficult raids instead of creating new easier difficulties like LFR, flexible raids, different scenarios difficulties or even worse, battle pets and transmogs and real money items. I'm about to join the millions leaving.
I wish Bliz would just see the light and straight out lower the price of subscriptions. They seem to blind themselves into thinking that other MMOs in the market will not affect their profits and sub numbers. When so many high-quality others are largely free, it sort of is absurd to think that WoW would not lose numbers after over half a decade, still with low-quality vanilla skins for races. (Even my worgen is feeling flat and low-pologon'ed compared to the fur and animations I see on pandarens and other modern MMO races). Overall I think the game itself has improved a lot despite all the QQ rage-quiters and pessimists. Its just that the quality is not worth the investment when you can get moderate quality for free in other MMOs.
I am one of the players who quit, but it isnt because I hate WoW. I just don't see the point in paying a subscription if the only free time I get to play is weekends... plus its been 6 years now. I'm getting tired .-.
WOW lost a bunch of players to china last winter when a new f2p launched there. The thing is, their revenues are actually the same ( slightly ahead) of where they were when they had 9M subscribers. You can hear it in the conference call, there is absolutely no panic in their voices regarding WOW because they aren´t losing the players who pay $15 per month.
As much as I do like WoW, I've just gotten bored from playing it. I started in 2008 in BC so BC and WotLK were what I leveled through, I miss that. Never reached the max level until Cata and thats when I lost all interest. Stopped playing for over a year and a half until this past November to try out MoP. MoP was fun, but theres just something missing for me. Cata and MoP just got really boring and I don't understand why. Its sort of sad to me because of all the time I had spent playing with it. I don't really have any time to play anymore so I guess thats sort of a plus for me but it will be a game that I will surely miss. It is what really started me in video games.
New generation of games are born , in order to survive World of Warcraft needs improved graphics and needs more action.Wow must be like a life on a planet. People reading books , people eating. New guards at night and some guards sleeping. When cities are attacked the guards come back from sleep etc...WoW must be like a type of life....
games are always better when ur trying to learn, and on the exponential side of learning.when u learn about the entire game and begin making generalizations, the game tends to feel more boringer, because you know what's gonna happen.
I find it weird that people gripe about the game losing subs when most MMO's are struggling to reach that 1 million player mark. Personally I don't have a sub anymore but that doesn't mean I won't buy a month or two when new content comes out.
This is because the game has become stale and not a lot of people have the time or money to play. I went to star wars mmo cause its free to play and ive had a blast. I cant see ever going back to wow as long as I have to pay to play it. Too many bugs and stuff for a pay to play game. It should run flawlessly they make enough dam money off enough people. Until blizz pulls their heads out of their butts im staying away
