The hardest one was the AQ reverse gold dragonriding race.
What worked for me:Use Dragonriding UI weakaura, try to maintain your speed at 1200% during the race = profit
For people who don't like racing and just want to mindlessly knock out the mog what is the gimmie course?
Had a laugh after doing the Un'Goro one... at the end I just blurted out: Get *bleeped* by a rusty spoon.Easily one of the worst ones for me.
It's weird how Un Goro reverse I beat by 6 seconds, but advanced It took me a few tries. But now I figured out how to clip skyward ascend, so I was HAULING.
I'm surprised there isn't anyone complaining about the lamp posts on Azshara Rocketway.I probably had to restart about 6 times due to getting stuck on them. With view distance set to medium, they didn't load fast enough for me to react properly.
I completed all the basic races on the first 2 days after patch day - got gold on all of them (maybe 1/3 of them, took me about 3-6 tries - bc of miss-steps or kept hitting tree limbs or buildings (felwood was really bad for this for me!). I'm going to be trying the advanced ones tonight so this is a nice guide! :)I also won't mention that the disconnect while dragon racing bug has returned a few times for me with these races unfortunately. :( - BUT - luckily! - I didn't have to use the self-service tool to reset my character to the GY outside Orgrimmar. :)
Really fun event tbh though unexpectedly just barely getting snagged on things like branches and thorns made me have to take a short break after awhile lmao but that's admittedly a skill issue on my part. Practice definitely helped!
There's plenty of videos for reverse ahn'qiraj btw, including one who showed TEN of his successful reverse gold attempts! That doesn't mean it's easy, my best so far is 6 tenths off and I tried everything I could come up with.I don't like those saying we really need to improve, everyone's doing their best, I wouldn't be surprised if there were people with reflexes conditions not allowing them to even get silver in the advanced races: silver can be really unforgiving too in the most difficult races like winterspring, only 3 sec off gold in a 60 sec race, I think it was that one at least.Personally, I'm at the spot where I can get some done on gold first try, some struggle but get them done, and some seem really really tough, so far I went in order, and when a race looked hopeless I swapped to another and here's what I have left:Advanced ones I miss: uldum, un'goro, ashenvale, winterspringReverse ones I miss: durotar, uldum, un'goro, winterspring, aq, hyjal left oneAnd they're all terrible, best I've come was 0,6-1,4 sec off in aq, ashenvale and one of the uldum ones, I just don't have any more easy ones to tick off.
I had a maximum of 2-3 attempts on all courses EXCEPT for Uldum Advanced and Durotar advances. They took a solid 7-8 tries to get gold. Nerf them
